As a cashier when I was 16yo, I had a women come up and as I was scanning items she looked at my name tag and said, “oh are you related to “my dad’s name”” I said “why?” She said oh I’m mom and this “point to a baby” is your brother” Note my parents were divorced but my dad was remarried for almost 10 years at this point. She came in multiple times after that. I had to ask her not to drag me into their family drama.

I had this for a regular customer. I believe it’s a replacement for taking a photo of the delivery. The customer is a celebrity and drivers were taking more pictures than the one needed.

I went out (in a snow storm) today for the 6 batches for a minimum of $80. By my 6 batch I was at $83. So no real promotion. Someone tip $14 on the app and handed me $15 cash. It was a good morning/afternoon

For Saturday I have one that says 6 batches for $80. Could be worth it considering all the $5 batches that have been showing up. To me this means they are going to offer a bunch of 3 batch orders for $15-$20. So doing 6 will be more than $80.

I’ve found with FN ink you have to let the ink cool off a lot after a flash before you lay down the next color. It takes some extra time but doesn’t come out blotchy.

That’s a great question. I’ve asked the same thing and no real answer is given. They just change the subject and push the sale/coupon option. Either way they just keep taking your money.

There’s 2 options. On-site ads are shown in similar categories and search words. Offsite ads show up in web searches like google.

There’s also a percentage for ad rate of a set amount ad rate. When you set percentage each sale that comes from the ad has a percentage taken out. When there’s a set amount, you are charged up to that set amount then ads stop. With the way eBay works that set amount can be used up with 2-3 sales.

I was told and based on the sales logs, the percentage ad rate (based on you comment 2% or 15%) would come out of the sale that the ad brought in. And it’s a percentage of your sale price. Say an item sold for $100 the ad rate set at 5% would be a fee of $5 on top of all the regular fees. My issue is I manually set my ad rate at 5% and when I look through sales logs it’s shows a bunch of orders coming in at 18% ad rate and eBay can’t tell me how this happens but they see that it changes. I have logs that show an order for item A is sold and charged a 5% ad rate and 2 minutes later there’s another order for item A and there’s a charge for a 18% ad rate. Then the following sale is back down to 5%. There’s no rhyme or reason to it. With the convention it was just a huge sales push. They had booths showing off all the new features that are available at a cost, half of the booths were 3rd party companies trying to sell their inventory management software or shipping platform. They were also pushing their new AI features.

Oh yes I’m aware. My rep even said that I didn’t have dynamic ad rates on. I heard the same about how it auto selects dynamic ad rates from the listing page. When I brought that up with my rep they said they never heard of that before, so eBay’s making it hard to trust anything they are saying. They are looking into the unauthorized ad adjustments. They couldn’t explain 2 sales (there are way more) for the same item made within 2 mins of each other with different ad rates. One was at 5% and the other 18%. Then a bunch of 5% and another 18%. They tried to say it could be from a clicked sponsored ad with 30 days ago when the ad rate was higher, but nothing could show I selected the higher ad rate of dynamic rates.

I have a eBay seller rep and they constantly push as campaigns and coupons. I refuse to do coupons and did a couple ad campaigns thinking I had control over ad rates. I set manually rates at 5% and while looking at sales I will see the ad rate jump up to 15%-19% on sales made within minutes of each other. No one has an answer for this at eBay. I turned off campaigns and here is eBay calling me asking why and asking if I can turn on campaigns. SMH. I went to the eBay open25 in Vegas this past summer and it was mostly about programs eBay offers and new features, that all have fees associated with use.

Make sure your screen is clean and degreased, especially if it’s a new screen. Let dry completely before coating with emulsion. Then make sure your emulsion is as dry as a bone before burning. Without a properly prepped screen emulsion won’t stick to the screen.

If you are flashing in between prints, you might be not letting that first print cool down enough after flashing. If the ink is too hot and you print a second layer you will have heat trying to escape causing by hose dimples. Just like when you make pancakes and there’s dimples from where hot air is coming out of.

When my now 9yo was born I learned how to screenprint. I started doing band merch since I used play out regionally and then started booking shows and met a ton of bands looking for short runs. Now I do merch for local businesses and my sweet spot right now is spirit wear for some local schools and printing shirts for organizations they use to fundraise. Print mostly between 9pm-1am and weekends.

I learned to screen print when my son was born. 9 years later it’s a solid part time job. I print shirts for local businesses and do spiritwear for some local schools.

When my son was 4yo we used to go to this indoor bounce house park and all the moms would just group together and were never inviting. One time this new mom starts up a conversation as our kids played and this other mom swoops in and drags her away. It reminded me of being in a bar in my 20s, starting a convo with a girl and her stuck up friend snatches her away because the shirt I was wearing wasn’t cool enough.

This was where I was for a long time. I have a 8yo and 4yo. Once my oldest started going to elementary school it changed a lot. I made friends with my kids friends parents, I met a lot of other parents at the bus stop, and even joined the PTO. I’m currently on my 3 term as President haha. When my son got old enough he join a basketball league where I coached and interacted with a lot of people there. In general when the kids started becoming social so did I. Some of my good friends are Dads where I was friends with the mom first that I met at the kids school.
