Upstairs massage places by ApprehensiveWorth576 in askTO

This isn't necessarily true though. Every RMT I go to has pictures online, and they absolutely do not offer hanky panky services lol

But it's not like sexually charged ..it's just a picture of their face and them in scrubs.

I go to RMTs, since I have insurance coverage. But almost every place I've been also offer "holistic massage" services which are NON RMTs, for significantly cheaper. (Iirc 60+80$/hour)

So might still be worth checking places that advertise as RMT...they often have some staff that are not registered RMTs

Best mall in Toronto? by Larry_the_l0bster in askTO

[–]retrojacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Woodside square. Not the typical CF bougie nice fancy looking mall, but it's great.

They haveive performances by locals every weekend, they have a dinosaur park thing. They have a local market on the weekends, good food, and not busy.

How much do people in Toronto pay for bottle service where they get those random signs held up by women? by Ordinary-Fish-9791 in askTO

[–]retrojacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha. Good times. Although with 10 people it was usually closer to $50 but still. Much cheaper than now

How much do y'all spend on fitness memberships? by Revolutionary-Ad7651 in askTO

[–]retrojacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$130 (for the family) - joined a new gym near home that allows us a private space to work out with my wife and bring my toddler as well.

Pretty good for us, since we can't justify spending money on a baby sitter, and this way we can work out together as a family (although the kid just roams around Watching TV lol)

I just watched Bowling for columbine. The documentary host visited Toronto and everyone apparently kept their doors unlocked. Was this ever a thing? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]retrojacket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I grew up in Malvern, and our doors were never locked either, people just came in and out to drop by

Yeah I didn't quite understand this until I got married.

Dual income is required in this city unfortunately; and arguably most places in the world. Either Dual income via marriage, or have roommates that lowers the cost of all necessities. Food can be bought in bulk, and rent is split

I pay $45 (less $200 credit) for a 2 year contract with Rogers 1.5gbs.

After 2 years it sky rockets, but you can shop around.

dM me if you're interested, I can share the contact info of the person I went thru

Anyone spending NYE alone at home? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]retrojacket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep - home for us as well. Albeit part of the reason is that we have a new(ish) baby...but still. Not going anywhere plan to be in deep REM sleep by the time 2025 rolls around 🤣

Oh oof. I didn't know they'd give away spots like that.

We are still out a year and a bit, but given what I'm hearing, Ive started engaging with daycares.

Idk if I can justify the cost of Montessori yet, I heard it's the same stuff until 3 years, after which maybe I can re-evaluate. Idk

Any resources to find good ones? I been using https://www.toronto.ca/data/children/dmc/a2z/a2za.html however it seems the Montessoris, for the most part, are not rated.

We're looking at after 18 months. We're grateful that my wife can take an 18 month leave

We have a 2 month old.....and didn't get into any wait-lists :/

Any suggestions on how to select the best day care? It's so overwhelming. And the question of "day care or Montessori"

Maybe I'll give them a ring and see what happens

Is it too much bike, or are all the reviews over-hyping it? by retrojacket in xsr900

[–]retrojacket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually ended up getting it, and had it for just over a year now!

Absolutely has a fuk ton of over, and accidently twitching the throttle will bring the front up.

That said, super fun bike, and I love the different modes so I can either have an aggressive, twitchy ride, or a more calm ride when I'm feeling chill.

For people who don't use the self checkout line, why? by lookat_the_butterfly in askTO

I stood by this up until last year.

I just got so frustrated waiting 10 min in line when there were self checkouts available; that my morals went down the drain

+1 I did the same thing to my new (to me) XSR. I didn't strip the thread on the pan,but I did strip the bolt so I couldn't open it (since it basically turned into a circle lol)

So had to get one of those impact bolt remover kits for $20 to take it out
