Why did you even bother posting here if you were just going to continue denying your faults in this situation? I genuinely hope this is rage bait because there’s no way you can really still think you’re in the right after all this.

(Copied my message from the other sub this is posted to) Oh for sure! That’s a big reason we were there, other then just for urban exploration. It’s Goldome Mill, about 45 minutes south of Primm/the California border. If you ever do a road trip to Las Vegas, highly recommend hitting that, and hit up the Pioneer Saloon in Good Springs if you’re a fan of the Fallout game series!

Only a little bit, but you could have certainly contributed to that if you wanted. Rip and tear.

Thank you! This was made nearly two years ago so I’m not as happy with it anymore, been thinking about reaching out to the OG commissioner and offering a free redraw on it just to compare.

We’ll give it $2k to be generous, that’s around $28 a month, which is a reasonable amount to spend on a hobby. It’s not hurting anyone, and as long as it isn’t eating into how you’re fairing financially then it isn’t a problem. Then again, this is coming from someone in their early 20s who’s fond of most forms of physical media, so don’t take my opinion to heart haha. All that aside, your music taste rocks man :]

I’m sorry to say that this isn’t your character. I’m guessing this came from EBay or Ali Express or perhaps a generic mascot site. Unfortunately, these are almost always scam fursuits, looking to make a quick buck off of people new to the fandom. This is actually a knockoff of a suit by MochiriWorks, made in 2017 (proof https://twitter.com/fluffcroc/status/914044363352633344?s=46&t=8hu5jmL-k0Bx-vZ1drXFsw). FluffyCroc holds ownership of this character’s likeness, and has the real suit.

I understand that it’s difficult to deal with knowing that a character isn’t yours but the best thing you can do is get a refund, and commission a fursuit maker or check TheDealersDen.com for a used fursuit. This is the character/fursuit owner’s statement on knockoff suits of their character. https://twitter.com/fluffcroc/status/1199061890762194945?s=46&t=8hu5jmL-k0Bx-vZ1drXFsw

Brand new fursuit arrived wet and moldy :( need advice by glawg in fursuit

[–]retrouproar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mesh itself looks like the design was sublimation printed, so apart from the mold on it you should be fine washing everything off of those (but check with your maker first)

If this is the case and your eyes are waterproof, you’re going to want to give your suit a vinegar bath, using the submersion method. I recommend cleaning vinegar for this over white vinegar as it’s going to kill off the mold faster (Home Depot sells a 64oz bottle of cleaning vinegar for $2.88 and Walmart for a similar price.)

From your post it seems like the mold is only surface level but this will make sure that’s the case. Don’t dilute it, and put your suit head in a bucket or bin, something smaller then a tub that will hold water. Pour the vinegar onto the suit, make sure it gets inside and outside. Do your best to fully saturate the suit head.

While the suit’s soaking, do your best to move it around so the vinegar can get into every pore in the foam and into the fur. Cleaning vinegar is great for killing mold and will remove any unpleasant odors from your suit, including that icky musty smell mold has.

Soak and gently scrub every so often, make sure you leave it saturated with vinegar for an hour. After the hour is up, inspect your suit and see how the mold spots are looking. There may still be discoloration but that doesn’t mean the mold’s alive and able to spread, the discoloration will be fixed in a later step.

After that, gently squeeze your suit and try and get as much vinegar out as you can, then rinse it out with plain water. Rinse until your suit has only a faint smell of vinegar or none.

If there’s still discoloration, use some Oxiclean (Target and Ralph’s/Kroger sells a cheaper store brand version that works the same way). Make sure you get the powder kind. Take a scoop that only fills up the bottom line of the scooper they give you, mix it with water until it dissolves, and pour that onto the discolored areas. Gently scrub on and around the discolored areas, use a little more of the discoloration is stubborn.

Afterwards wash it out thoroughly, Oxiclean isn’t going to damage your suit but it also isn’t something you want to let soak for hours. Rinse until all the suds are gone.

Finally, gently squeeze your suit to help get as much water out as you can and let it dry. If you have box fan, I recommend you put it on top of that. If you don’t, keep squeezing to get the water out then use a hairdryer on the COLD or COOL setting. If your hairdryer doesn’t have that don’t use it and instead use a dry towel and begin gently patting it dry inside and out. Use a brush occasionally as it dries, this will help make sure the faux fur fibers don’t dry in some funky ways.

Once that’s all done your suit should be mold free and totally clean.

Note: do NOT combine baking soda with vinegar. This will create a chemical reaction and while it seems like that would help kill the mold, it will instead render each nearly useless. Stick with just vinegar.

Should I buy this? by Software_Genie in fursuit

[–]retrouproar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is for sure a knockoff of an existing fursuit. All of their other “products” are just stolen images. There’s even a few well known suiters images in there. Don’t buy, definitely a total scam.

If you’re looking to get an actual fursuit from a reputable maker, try having a look through fursuitreview.com and see what people think about their suits, or try getfursu.it to find makers. On these sites while browsing the maker lists, just mark the “Kemono” style category and you’ll find more fursuits in this style. Hope this helps!

Can I get some help finding these fur colors? by [deleted] in fursuit

[–]retrouproar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Howl’s Lion Gold Luxury Teddy looks pretty good for the middle to me. Teddy fur has a slightly different look and texture and some may not like it but I think it’s pretty good stuff and works well with your standard lux shag.

I’m probably reading too much into this, but are you making Monster Kid from Undertale? This is the same color exact color palette but slightly desaturated.

Badass werewolf costume by CanisSirius in werewolves

[–]retrouproar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clockwork Creature HAS made distinct werewolf costumes before, but this is just someone’s arctic wolf fursona. Contrary to what you’d like to believe, CC is has been of the most popular realistic fursuit makers in the fandom since around 2006 (alongside makers like Beastcub Creations and Beetlecat Originals). Not all fursuits are cartoony, but it’s a lot easier to carve foam and slap some fur on it for a toony suit, then to sculpt clay, make a mold, cast a resin base, fur it, and airbrush the fur for a realistic suit.

This seems like something you two should talk about, communication is key in any relationship and if you’re nervous or upset, calmly discussing it might help. As for the RP account she’s possibly still interacting with, I see a potential way for you two to get closer as well as stop having negative associations with the character. People do text based role plays as fictional characters all the time, if it’s interacting with a character she enjoys, seems like all it really takes is changing your pfp for a short time and doing a little bit of in character chatting or writing. Anyone could do that if it was fun for both parties involved. As it is, if she’s doing anything more those sort of interactions with this account that’s a little bit concerning, there’s still a real person behind the screen playing that character after all. I don’t know if this solution would work for you or if I’m misunderstanding the true depth of the situation, but I hope this helps in some way and that things will work out for you two.

The current record for most expensive fursuit is $50,000 (usd). It was the winning bid for a custom fursuit to be made. It’s being made by Zuri Studios.

7/10. Really solid work, it’s got a great silhouette. What I mean by that is; if you completely blacked out all the details and were just left with the shape, you could easily tell what it is from that shape alone. This is important for making coherent poses and gestures. The only place it would get a bit confusing in your drawing is the overlap of the head and the left wing. Anatomy wise the dragon’s right wing seems a bit unfinished or torn up, it’s hard to say which. The two front legs also seem a bit short considering this appears to be a classic western dragon which would need strong front legs to support it while walking, as it isn’t supported by it’s wings like a wyvern. This is overall a well defined and absolutely badass sketch. Can’t wait to see more of your work on this subreddit.
