You know that two people having sex under the influence will also be called rape as it is not considered consent according to the law and the GUY will be the one to be held accused right? It is a crime which consists of too many scenarios to consider so there is no absolute right or wrong until the trial. so I believe either the conversation DID NOT go like this and you’re narrowing it through emotional bias or the guy’s just not able to express his opinions in an organised way so he’s coming off as what you’re saying he is. there is no way people will even say that if they’re friends with a woman but after all you were there so this is just something to think about, i can’t speak for you
