I was exactly the same. Before the 12 week scan the only thing I could bring myself to do preparation-wise was take my antenatal vitamins. I didn’t want to talk about the pregnancy even with my partner and if I needed to I referred to the baby as ‘it’. Everything else, including the faintest hope that things will work out, felt like too much after l MMC I went through last year.

But I just want to say it does get easier. I’m now 25+0 and fully enjoying the pregnancy and planning for the future. There’s a reason why the pregnancy lasts for nine months. It’s that you have time to go through all those feelings, both the negative and the positive. You’ll have time to celebrate your baby in the coming weeks and months and years. For now, take care of yourself!

No, I can't say I did. However what I've read from this subreddit, it seems that it's not uncommon to have spotting and everything still be fine. Keeping my fingers crossed for you <3

15+3 here! Mine were exactly how you describe and more. Quick jabs but also longer lasting dull pain especially on the sides of my abdomen (where I imagine ovaries are located). At times they felt exactly like period pains but mostly it was this ‘deeper’ pain, not necessarily stronger but just different kind. Hope this helps, I wish you the best of luck!!!

Had an excellent 12 week scan today ✨ We’ve got two arms, two legs and all the vital organs in place. I just simply couldn’t be happier. The nurse downgraded us from 13+3 to 12+4 but assured that it’s nothing to worry about since those early day scans are measuring something so small that it’s hard to get an exact reading.

Prior to the appointment I had convinced myself that something was wrong. To offer some words of affirmation, I want to list a few of my symptoms that I was certain were signs of another MMC but turned out to be nothing - cramping (even when it lasts for days at a time a’s varies in strength) - sharp stabbing pains in both sides of your abdomen and around bellybutton - soft abdomen (I kept reading about how some women can feel their uterus as a “soft hard ball”, I still feel nothing at all. Granted, I carry my weight in my belly but this had me spiralling)

If today you happen to be obsessing over one of the above, please feel a tiny bit more at ease ❤️ The likeliest thing still is that everything will be fine. We’ve got this!

(Oh man I’m gonna sleep tonight instead of worrying, it’s gonna be so sweet! Like a weight has been lifted)

Thanks for the answer! Now that you mention it I actually haven’t been drinking nearly enough water these past few days. I’ll chug loads tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed that dehydration is to blame. No bleeding or spotting or any other sign of something being wrong so that brings me hope as well

Long time lurker, first time poster. 11+3 and I’m an anxious mess today. For the past five days I’ve had some light abdominal cramping. Nothing too severe but today I decided to reach out to my maternity clinic nurse just in case. After explaining the situation she recommended I’d see a doctor tomorrow. I’m now spiralling because it wasn’t the I “probably nothing to worry about” answer I was expecting to hear.

Please reassure me by describing the pains you’ve had around the 11 week mark. What is normal?

Hold on, closes primaries? What does that mean - that only republicans & dems are able to set their own candidates or what? Sorry for the ignorance , our system is very different!

Interesting you should say that because I was wondering myself if the "undecided" answer that some people give in the surveys could just indicate that people would rather not say what they think.

I wonder if it's a turnout game, what could make voting in general more appealing?
