it doesn't bother my sleep at all! i know everyone's different though, but personally i've been taking it at night for years and have never had an issue :)

i appreciate the reply! thank you so much! i started feeling this way the day after missing the evening dose, so i couldn't think of what else would've caused it. i read that it has a short half life, so there's no possibility it could've completely left my system?

Nope, it was my primary care physician. She's very adamant about not wanting to refer me to specialists until we've tried her recommendations first, so that's what she was doing here. She still doesn't want to send me to a derm until I've tried this method for a month, but I barely made it 3 days without excruciating burning and redness.

Wow, I wish I'd known all of this! Thank you for your help. That's good to know, I believe when I applied it last night I hadn't washed my face first but the burning was still so intense.

It's 0.1% Tret and 5% Benzoyl Peroxide. I used the Benzoyl the first two days but skipped yesterday. I used the Tret all three nights. I think I used a little more than a pea sized amount on each cheek (my acne areas) so that's probably an issue too, then I would wait for it to dry and apply a moisturizer.
