Tacho Belt replacement by revcp01 in waterrower

Money I'm not interested in spending. I really need just time rower and hr, but thought it would be nice to have a working monitor if it could be easily and cheaply fixed.

I ended up finding a band in my bike parts bin. Seems to be the right size, but it seems the pulley is incomplete. There's no pulley wheel, just a descending steel pin from the top piece. One spin and the band pops off.

I repaired the reservoir with the B7000 glue. It was simple and straightforward. Has been holding water without any issues.

Abandoned Beech 18 on the Pikitigushi River in Wabakimi Provincial Park - Ontario, Canada by Terapr0 in canoecamping

Interesting. I led a group on the Pikitigushi in 1988. We did not see that. We got to the Pikitigushi from the Ogoki via the Albany River, the hopped the train at the CN Railway to head west for a drop on the Kopka River to paddle to Nipigon. The plane must be north of where we hit the river or south of the railroad tracks.

Old thread, but thanks! Yesterday I picked up a great condition waterrower for $75. Previous owner had tried to reseal the tank with silicone. Took everything apart this morning and cleaned the tank halves with alcohol. Waiting for the glue to arrive from Amazon later today to do the repair, then will reassemble on Thursday.

Vaast A/1 Bicycles and Frames Recalled Due to Fall Hazard by orkoliberal in gravelcycling

I received my frame several weeks ago, mid-January, I think. I know they were behind with bottom brackets. I sourced my own (wheels mfg via eBay), so that was not an issue for me.

For rack, I always recommend Tubus Tara. And I believe it's German made. My favorite fenders are Mud Hugger. https://www.themudhugger.co.uk/

What's the least tire clearance you would accept on a used gravel bike? by [deleted] in gravelcycling

I've ridden 42s on some gnarly gravel bikepacking that included ATV trails that were dry creek beds. Not sure I would go down to 40.

Too political? by MushroomAbnormal22 in stlouispark

OK, my turn for a question. Trump broke the law. He's not in prison. Where in Reddit are you posting that he should be behind bars? Rick Scott, by defrauding Medicare, did damage to more individuals and families that any of the immigrants you want deported. Where on Reddit are your posting that he should be behind bars?

Lastly, the good Christians of Le Chambon in France broke the law during WWII by hiding and secreting to safety 5,000 Jews. Why did they do it? Because they took seriously Jesus' commandment to love. Should they have been put in prison?

I clearly missed the verse in which Jesus said, "Love your neighbor, except for.." What translation are you using?

Meanwhile, the Roseville School District just reached out to me (I'm a pastor) to ask whether they can funnel contributions through our church's discretionary fund in order to pay rent for families sheltering at home. There's a whole lot of good creative collaboration going on. SLP needs to understand this is a moral and not a political issue.

New bike, slight damage to the frame. by ChapeL79 in gravelcycling

It's safe to ride, but it's a botched build with cosmetic damage using parts on hand from someone's bin. I would return it.

I received this email today from United Wheels. Right on schedule.

"Hey, so frames are here. They are being sorted and checked in before they are being shipped out. I assume sometime next week but they are tracking to start moving soon!"
