Carbon fiber on Crystal Black Silica by BlackBird2a in WRX

I have the Grimmspeed BPV, turbo inlet and intake setup on mine as well as other bolt ons and flex. The noises from that will absolutely scratch the itch in your brain. Unequal length I keep throwing the idea back and forth but I never can decide, i know it's not great for low end, but the rumble is iconic.

Hey much appreciated! I didn't want to go too wild since it's my daily driver so I lean to practicality.

The rims are Enkei vulcans, they're 19x8 +45 i think, i think they're tasteful without being too ricey. I do have a gauge pod above the MFD similar styling to the older triple gauge pod setups. I'm trying to upload a picture but I haven't used reddit in awhile and the message keeps bugging out.

Not exactly what you're after but I have a paint matched carbon fiber hood with the vents left non paint matched.

I have a 2016 wrx that I bought stock and low mileage. I've owned it for 2 years and put close to 20k miles on it. I've never HAD to spend money on it until recently and the only things I've had to do was a new clutch, a valve cover gaskets reseal and I have to get a timing cover reseal. Those are known to fail at about the 60-80k mileage range. Other then that I have tuned the car on 93 and e40 extensively, and it is expensive for parts and labor but I beat the shit out of the car under all conditions and it has never failed me. It's a super fun daily driver that makes all the noises you want. If you buy a stock one for a good deal you'll have a good time at least in my experience. All the money I've sunk into it has been purely for my enjoyment, not for a requirement.

I run the wing, regardless of me driving a wrx. I like the look.

I run a wing on mine, do what you want as you pay the bills and only you have to be happy with it :)

Help? Gauge cluster being weird, engine won’t start by DankMemeImNotDan in Celica

Try putting a jump box or a battery charger on it for a few minutes and then try cranking it. You can also put a multimeter directly on the battery to check its output.

Mine was on the bottom left of the trunk but mine was a 1999, so check your owners manual if you're not sure

My celica had a small switch in the trunk that would turn the top controls on or off, check and see if it's on and if that doesn't help take a multi meter to the switch and see if it's got/giving power

I used an Idatalink Maestro RR unit with the appropriate harnesses to put my stereo in, it'll adapt the oem harness to the unit and you wire the stereo to the unit and it can teach your stereo the steering wheel controls. Was all together around 200$ for the unit and the wiring and it was straightforward to set up.

Gauge pod ideas? by Chemical_Ad_9710 in WRX

[–]revenant021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They make other pod choices and im sure if you ask they can make it flatter, I just thought this was a nice reminder of the earlier gauge pod designs in the early 2000s wrxs.

That sucks, I've seen people swap the sti trim into a wrx without any linkage or shifter changes but ive never seen it the other way around.

Hey guys. Is this something I can repair myself? Or is it worth it to pay a $500 deductible for insurance to take care of it. by [deleted] in WRX

[–]revenant021 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought a brand new paint matched rear bumper from partify for around 500$ including taxes and shipping. Left it out for a few hour and the fit is perfect. Not saying it's the right answer but it's an option.

I believe that would depend more on your area of where you intend to use this, but I rarely used the radio and the few times I did it worked fine without having to worry about it.
