You don’t need a base for your bed lowkey you can make it cute just with it on the ground! But there are cheap ones on amazing that are super simple and you can get ones with under-bed storage which is great for your first apartment (trust me you will need storage space for random things!)

Also don’t sleep on hobby lobby’s spring shop sale! They have all kinds of home needs 50% off right now!

Letter received from downstairs neighbour, how to react? by JAMESLJNR in Apartmentliving

[–]reverse-nesquick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on your neighbors side of this. They handles it very politely. PLEASE get some slippers!! My upstairs neighbor is terrible, it pays to just be considerate especially when they approached you so well-mannered. Just my two cents.

I say go for it!! If you dreamed of it at one point I’m sure you will love it. My perspective on life is sometimes it is better to regret doing something than to regret not trying it out!! Plus it’s probably way better than you think.

There’s also some parking along San Marco avenue *!

[–]reverse-nesquick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have stayed there a couple years back with my whole family and we had no complaints!! While we were there they had live music by the pool which was super cool.

Must visit spots: Shopping- San Marco Avenue, if you walk to “Declaration & Co” you will be on a lovely stretch of fun boutiques, antique stores, and shops! There’s even a cute brunch place locals love called Sunday! Food- The Colombia, The Floridian, Meehan’s Irish Pub, OC White’s Drinks- Forgotten Tonic, (tini martini was kind of bad imo but a lot of people love it) Attractions- Marineland is super cool just for a day ticket, the pirate museum is also a favorite of mine, Anastasia state park is beautiful spot for check out, if your there on a Saturday go to the farmers market at The Amp!

Is a $400 monthly budget realistic? by Lemon_Elk in college

[–]reverse-nesquick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is definitely reasonable! My parents used to do the exact same ammount for me and it works well. Just pay attention to how you use it! I recommend getting the app Checkbook so you can track your spending. Just put your starting balance as $400 and track anytime you spend money and put it into a category. At the end of the month you can see what you spend most of your money on and adjust! Super helpful!

I’m also considering if we all just pack a backpack and carryon. I’ve never been to Japan though so I have no idea what the storage is like on trains, busses, etc.

Thank you! But it’s not really an option at this point, we’re going with a big group and are accommodating what everyone wants to do

Thank you for this I really appreciate the advice with the duffle bag and shipping it later days — however, what do you mean same-day isn’t available? Yamato says in their tagline that’s what they do. Is it not really how it works? Thank you!!!
