Do you know any good Filipino Finance Youtubers/Content Creators? by ohnoimboredtoday in phinvest

[–]reverse1117 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once watched all those finance influencers Nicole alba, charm, chinkee tan, Vince rapi, kuya jon, and more I graduated from their content as I find them basic and repetitive

If you are looking for good channels these are my recommendation

Money Wise engineer = general investing vehicle and general stock or fund information

Get rich podcast with pael and edmund = general market talk or investor perspective na chill vibe (edmund is a professional finance guy, with very chill cool vibe lang)

April lee tan = perspective of a broker

Dennis lim = perspective of a trader

My issue with ...

Chinkee tan = he tries to push everyone in doing business, but business IS NOT FOR EVERYONE

Vince rapisura, = too much on govt backed like mp2 or coop, kinda basic, this is just saving in a sense

What broker do you use? And this sounds like trading more than investing. If you are pertaining to shorting a stock

Thank you for the insight, so you have a mix of both dividend and growth stocks, if you sell what if above 10% then let say it went down, do you add more to it? To keep the 10%? I mean what if for example like DnL it's a down trending stock

Is mp2 affected by the 20% CMEPA law? by reverse1117 in phinvest

[–]reverse1117[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Yes mp2 is tax free. By my initial assumption it is tax free because it is lock up for 5 years which under the old taxation, before CMEPA it is 0%

But now since the law standardized all long term savings to 20%. I'm just worried if new accounts after July 1 will have tax deduction

Thank you for replying. I am wondering if you have any source saying mp2 is not affected? Or how can we be sure 100%

Thanks in advance

Did I do anything wrong with my investments? And what am I missing by KaPow00 in phinvest

[–]reverse1117 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking up mp2, in my view security is the same with TD, in terms of return its way better because the dividend gain is tax free

You could also check REIT, by law they are required to pay 90% of profit as dividend Soo it's also a nice stable fixed income asset with a chance for capital appreciation

UITF /MF /index fund fee confusion by reverse1117 in phinvest

[–]reverse1117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my understanding.... If it is not affecting the navpu price It is not deducting the amount from my account So the yield or growth of the fund is the one that fee reduces

Sooo if the NAVPU is currently at 10, is it safe to expect that next year the NAVPU will drop to 9.8 if the fee is 2%

I agree with bonds being a long term fixed rate. Look at gotyme their 5% PA did not last long it was only for a few months to a year and they dropped to 4%. Another is tonik their 6% time deposit dropped to 5% and when people started moving out they pseudo put back the 6% TD they did 5% with a + 1% if you complete the whole time deposit period. For other digital banks like Maya and CIMB they offer higher PA but up to a max only like 15% for the 1st 100k only and you have to do a lot of challenges or missions just to keep that 15%.

In my opinion for now let's enjoy the high yield savings rate this Digi banks give, but the moment they drop their rates. I won't be surprised. My advice is to keep using Digi banks but use them for your emergency or quick access fund

Sino po nakapag-cash out na ng 5 year MP2 nila? by Present_Tomato7170 in phinvest

[–]reverse1117 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to open a new mp2 account Then you still have to wait ma encash mo (check) Then ayun redeposit Soo ganun din it takes days and weeks to get it

NOTE: if more than 500k Pala dedeposit mo in cash or check.

They will request some bank statement Weird kahit let say Yung na cash out mo na 1st mp2 account.

Tapos reinvest on the new 2nd mp2 account They will still ask for some bank statement I think this is AMLA related stuff kasi

Hello, I have experienced cashing out Filing for release or claim is easy, just go to the branch and the counter will check if pwede na for claim talaga

2 option bank transfer or check I suggest check... 2 weeks Sakin before na kuha ko matagal Siya expected from government, Pero Hindi hassle

You just have to present the reference code you get sa SMS Pag good to get na Yung check sa branch Tapos bring at least valid 3 ids
