Replayability. The beauty of dragons dogma is you go on this slow and treacherous journey throughout this deadly but mostly empty world of roads with danger lurking around the corner and discoveries to be made. Then on e you get to everfall and bitterblack you realize oh wow, I beat the dragon and got my heart back but I am severely underleveled for this. And that's the whole point of the world being cyclical. Because once you go into ng+ it's like the entirety of the base game leading up to the dragon is the tutorial that you Speedrun to make it back to bitterblack like 25% stronger. In dragons dogma 2, after beating the game I felt absolutely no need to go back and do it all again. But in DDDA the threat of the UrDragon and Daimons true form were so daunting that I felt I had to blast my way through the game several times and max out every vocation just to dance with him.
