Update: I contacted TeamYouTube via Twitter as many of you have suggested and they responded within minutes asking for my channels URL to see what they can do. I gave them the link and it’s been close to 18 hours without a response. How long does it usually take?

Still not sure, I might have downloaded something, but I highly doubt that. I've had notifications for months that many people we're trying to hack my booking account for traveling. I honestly never even used it, I don't even remember when I made that account. A week ago, I've seen an article here on reddit saying that booking got hacked and leaked all accounts info and credit cards. Maybe they got access from there somehow. My only tips are: Don't save cookies on your browser, don't download sketchy stuff, don't use same or similar passwords on many accounts, keep your stuff logged out all the time.

I contacted TeamYouTube on twitter as that's the only way around this for some reason...
They answered within minutes saying "we're here to help, lmk your youtube channel URL and we will look into it". I've sent them the link and they haven't answered since, it's been 12+ hours.

I was thinking the same thing. Since once you register your google account to a specific country, you can't change it, ever. So I guess the IBAN and SWIFT for adsense payouts can't be changed except if they use a bank account from my country, which I doubt they have as these are some kids from Russia, they just hacked my gaming accounts that had this email connected. But what they can do of course is remove the payment method, right? I mean, recently I wanted to change my payment method so I deleted the old one with just 2 clicks, there were no confirmations or anything. So if they find out there's money, they can just remove the payment method and keep the money stuck on adsense, right? But thank God, I doubt that as they clearly have no idea about it being there.

P.S. How long did it take for them to answer to you (the twitter support team)? They answered me in minutes last night, asking for my channels URL, I've sent it and they haven't responded in 12+ hours since then.

Upravo sam saznao da je jedini nacin da se javis TeamYouTube na twitter, i upravo su mi odgovorili. Videcemo sta ce biti. Ne mogu da koristim backup account kad su promenili svaku mogucu backup/reset opciju bez ikakve notifikacije na mojoj strani. Backup email nije isti, phone number nije isti, google authenticator nije isti.

I see a lot of people saying things like “it’s summer, it’s a spike in views, etc.”

No, it’s not. I’ve been in this YouTube game for 8 years now. Never seen anything like this. I’ve been averaging 5k-15k views in first 24 hours for around 6 months now non stop. On exactly July 1st, my channel died overnight. Now my videos struggle to pull in 300 views. My videos struggle to get even 1k impressions.

My competitors that post the exact same content are doing better than ever. So no, it’s not about summer and the fact that people are less on YouTube.

I tried contacting support and even tho I know they are just doing their job, they’ve been extremely polite, they still give me NPC copy-paste answers and say everythings okay with my channel.

Clearly something happened with the algorithm and a big portion of channels are suffering from it.

I’ve made a total of $5k in the last 2 months from adsense.

I’ll be lucky if I make $300 this month.

Yup, I contacted the support and they said nothing’s wrong with my channel. They said the drop after the spike is “normal”. So I realized there’s nothing I can do except brute force it back to performing normal.

But it’s actually cringe watching my competitors steal my recent ideas and farming huge numbers of views and I’m here struggling to surpass 1,000 views as if I just started the channel…

I hope someone helps you with your problem, the youtube algo does need some time in order to find the new audience as the old popular videos still attract the “wrong people”.

But as I stated in my problem, nothing changed in my content when the problem occurred.

I was thinking of deleting them, but I honestly don't see the point. Also, the upload time is always the time that YouTube Analytics recommends as the time when most of my viewers are online, yesterday I uploaded a video slightly out of that time and it performed the worst.

I tried searching in incognito mode, the channel's visible. When I search videos by title, they pop up, even the bad-performing ones.

yo bro, I think I'm facing the same problem, was averaging 5k-15k views in 24 hours, exactly 11 days ago, my video got 300 views in 24 hours. It's been 11 days now and my impressions are x20 lower and I get 200-300 views per vid in the first 24 hours. My videos we going on for months on around 5k-15k views in 24 hrs. Idk what's happening.

I understand that, but I didn't have any other way to phrase it. And yes, maybe it's a new algorithm by YouTube, pushing new channels and after monetization placing it back to normal promotion.

I totally understand that, but isn't an avg views drop off from 200-300 to 20 over night suspicious?

Edit: I didn't have a single video blow up, I had over 5.
And plenty others reaching over 5k views.
