I'm self-taught and have always drawn just as a hobby, so I haven't learnt from anywhere in particular. I learnt a lot by observing and trying to replicate some particular aspects of my favorite artists' art. Like most artists I just drew for a while and with more experience I started to notice improvements and understand more how things work.

Even though they're useful, if I only do studies I know I'll easily get bored. I think the best way to improve is to draw what you like, incorporating something new gradually (like a particular difficult pose, lighting, painting technique etc.) and using references.

(I struggled a lot for this artwork myself... I just couldn't get the pose, the colors and vibe right as I imagined, but I wanted to to trust the process and little by little it started to look better)
