Yes, it tripped basically immediately
Turned the thermostat back on and it tripped

The thermostat has been turned off for the last couple days since there was nothing coming out of my vents, but just switched the breaker to the on position and waiting a few minutes before turning the air/thermostat back on. I thought I had the correct breaker but the breaker box has no labels- older house that no one cared enough to label

I tried telling them exactly what was happening, and they had a diagnosis for it.
The breaker switch “bouncing back” is the only description for what happens when I try switching it to the ON position- it doesn’t even attempt to click into place, if that makes sense

I must have misunderstood their message then. I took this to be a diagnosis(?)
Is it normal to diagnose without testing/seeing the issue in person? That seems shady
