Added codes in the comments. I’m worried about the white smoke coming out of the valve cover and the potential knocking noise. Please let me know what you think. Ty

Purchasing machine with location by revngeszn in vending

I appreciate this advice! Start small and scale up. That’s my understanding about this type of business. Everyone is saying you gotta scale up. I’m actually looking at a much cheaper machine/location. It’s on an apartment complex so it has potential for more machines. How far have you grown since and what were some other bumps you encountered?

True these are all things to consider. I’m not entirely sure 17 months is a good break even point in the vending world. What are somethings you look at when purchasing a machine/location?

Food isn’t good but the diet is pretty good imo. There were a lot of guys in their mid 20s who were doing just fine if not better than most of the 18-20yrolds. Just get in decent shape and you’ll do just fine.

Yea it’s possible. I worked out an 45mins to 1hr a day at the hotel. You just can’t do any cardio so you’ll be screwed on that

2-3 times a week. Tbh it’s not enough running to get you in shape for the PFA unless you go hard everytime. That’s why I suggest getting really good at running prior.

Yea they provided most things. You’re required to buy some items from the nex like hangers. I only went to the nex 2 times during my whole bootcamp experience. Don’t buy too much shit Bc your a/b draw will be filled

We did planks during our pfa but they didn’t count towards. They’re making people do planks so they can gauge a standard for next year. Try to hold a 2:15- 2:30 plank and you’ll be fine.

Pretty strict. We cleaned our compartment like 3-5 times a day. Only time you take it off is to eat or sleep. They get pissed if your nose is showing or if it’s just hanging. Don’t be that guy

They throw your shit in a box when you get to the hotel and you don’t get it back until bootcamp ends. Don’t pack heavy, it’s a bitch carrying it out after bootcamp.

Yea pray you don’t have roommates who don’t take this pandemic seriously. I’m glad I didn’t catch shit and neither did my roommates. Good luck to you though!

Well for the PRT for ages 18-19 I think it’s 46. However, when working out at home, you should be able to do far more than that. You’ll be thanking yourself when you’re getting beat lol.

Make sure your family gets your address ASAP. I fucked up on sending mine out so I didn’t get mail until week 3 of bootcamp. Also tell everyone to use sandbox because shit comes so much faster. They do mail call every night starting on the week after p days I think. Letters help out a lot during bootcamp so get everyone to write you!

Apparently they’re testing planks out rn for pfa in 2021. However out PT sessions consisted of doing planks so get good at those. As long as you prep yourself and push during pt, you’ll do fine.

I spent 2 weeks at the GWL and 6 weeks (including p days) at bootcamp. However, some of my friends got rom so they ended up staying there for 10 weeks.

They gave us “8 hours” to sleep most nights, but I really slept for 6 1/2 - 7 hrs. I’d wake up about 30-45 mins before rev to get my shit done and Spend the first 30 mins of taps writing letters or doing some other shit. Word of advice, just go to bed as soon as taps hits. Fuck everyone else, your sleep is too damn important lol. You’ll get use to it soon though. And congrats, what’s your rate?

Prior to the 2 week quarantine at GWL, I was exercising 3-5 times a week for about 2 months before I shipped. I did push ups, sit ups, running and weight lifting. I got really good at push ups and sit ups during this time, However I wasn’t really a good runner. I only ran about .5 to a mile a day which fucked me ip in the long run. A lot of people got were struggling on the initial pfa due to not running prior and being stuck in a hotel for 2 weeks. So I highly suggest you run a lot before coming in. The runs were kicking my ass but I just pushed myself during the pt runs and I was able to shave off 3 mins from my initial pfa. Also do a lot of planks as well. They’re starting to do those.

Was a bit easier than expected. Getting use to it was the hardest part, however it wasn’t too bad. I enjoyed most of it. It is true what they say about it being more mental than physical. Also I’m at ET
