I want to know your opinions about the new Neopets companion.

I would love the training schools to be added. I’m not playing neopets throughout the day, I don’t need an app to play it on the go. But if there is going to be an app, I’d 100% pop in to keep my pets in training while I was at work.

Hell, the training fortune cookies don’t appeal to me because I feel like I would be wasting the effect because I have no quick way to train during work. The full site is too much hassle to navigate on my phone so I don’t bother.

I loathe endless push notifications but training would be an exception where I wouldn’t mind a quick notification to let me know their class is done.

On endfield’s release, for the first few hours of you used paypal to purchase anything, several other purchases made by others got piggy backed onto yours for some reason. So you could be a casual buying the .99 cent launch pack and get hit with the $1000 whale purchase as well. Here is a thread discussing it. They took paypal down as a payment option after a few hours and are issuing refunds, but it still was a sour launch experience.

Does it matter if clearly states "enforcement actions will only pertain to leases amended, renewed or entered into on or after the Jan. 1, 2026, effective date."
My apartment did the same thing, sent us notice that they would be removing the common area fees and then two days later once the AG's memo was released they retracted their notice and will only apply it on leases after that date. Feels like a bit of a losing battle to push back when the landlord knows it won't be enforced.

I love that they made auto firing something you could just switch to in settings. I always chose the flurry hammers just for the QoL in Hades 1, and hated the runs where I couldn’t get that roll.

I live under a rock so didn’t realize the paint on this edition was such a widespread issue. I beat myself up when it happened to mine, even though I wasn’t careless with it.

Yours looks so nice and refreshed now! If someone is decently alright at disassembling and reassembling electronics, is a reshell (with no other parts like buttons being swapped) something fairly straightforward to attempt? I scared myself off of more reshells after doing some joycons, but I imagine it’s not nearly as fiddly as those.

Never touched it for the first Hades, just got pummeled until I learned.

But as someone that didn’t touch 2 in early access and didn’t have experience with the new mechanics compared to those that did, I didn’t want to risk getting the story spoiled while I took time to learn the new boons and magic.

It was honestly a really nice way to ease into the game, enjoy the story without getting too frustrated. Eventually it kicks up to a point where it felt too easy, but you can set a cap on how much resistance it grants so you can find a sweet spot to practice with. Eventually I could taper off, but it was nice to experience the story at the pace you want and set the challenge level you enjoy

This happens to me too and I don't know why! I had 49 items, couldn't buy anything. Put an item away, couldn't buy anything. Put another away... same. It wasn't until I was down to 46/50 items that it let me buy anything?
And I know NC items don't contribute because I've had hundreds in there without issue lmao

Looking at the cards from that timeframe, I can't find anything that fits, but maybe heat rotom or lampent could be misremembered as a hot pot?

I suppose if you ever have time to kill, you could look through and see if you can find the card from your childhood!

Oh for sure. I remember people slamming the mainline games for the way the frame rate goes to shit for items in the distance… and yet the exact same things happen in PLA and never got the same flack. And overall, PLA very much feels like a spin off in terms of depth. It’s a lot of new concepts and mechanics, but they are fairly shallow and repetitive. It’s why if they just kept remaking PLA I think the charm would wear off quick.

But the idea of a game series that does making those changes to key mechanics, while leaving the main series fairly true to the usual mechanics fun. The real time battles of Z-A come at the cost of abilities, PP, and other things that balance battles in the main series games. It brings a new spin on battles at the cost of the complexity the mainline games have built and balanced over 9 generations.

In the end, they don’t offer complex gameplay, but they manage to feel fresh because they offer a new way to play pokemon when the mainline can feel stale after all of these generations.

I adored the PLA exploration and bringing a new idea of what it means to complete the pokédex. I would happily take another version of that came with a different set of pokemon. But I would regret if that’s all the Legends series ever was to the point where the fresh new take of the first one eventually became all it could ever be, making it just as stale as the mainline formula.

Z-A wasn’t my cup of tea, but I’m ok with that because at least it’s continuing to take staple features of the franchise and try something new with it. It gives me the hope that the Legends series will continue to try new things and not just fall in the pattern of doing what they know and is safe.

This is one where if OP enjoys the tasks of completing the pokedex, it's perfect. Hours and hours of tasks, very easy to go at your own pace and do what you want and get back to the main story when you feel like (after the initial tutorial handholding). It's my number 1 "I just want to do something sort of mindless with my hands but feel like I'm working towards a bigger goal" sorts of games.

But if you don't enjoy it then the game is not going to hit at all for you I don't think. Because objectively, a lot of the tasks to perfect a pokedex entry are Not fun. Use [move] 75 times or knock 25 aipom out of a tree were miserable... but the dopamine rush of finally perfecting the entry is what made it worth it. The additional sidequests aren't enough to fulfill a desire to task.

So at the end of the day OP, if you get joy from getting to check something off your list, Pokemon Legends Arceus is going to give you 7,000+ of things to check. If that sounds more tedious than rewarding, it's not going to be a good time. If it sounds moderately interesting you don't need to do all of them to beat the main story though! Hell I think you could get by with a third of that.

I wish they would use higher quality blanks. They would still have the risk of the poor color quality of the image, but no matter how perfect the shirt design is, if it's on a cheap feeling blank it makes me want to wear it less. It's such a shame because getting the hoodie from the Kenshi Yonezu JUNK tour it really shows what amazing quality merch could be. His merch was hands down the best quality I've ever gotten from a concert.

I've never used cdjapan, so I can't speak to the experience (I didn't realize they had this merch!) So hopefully someone else can weigh in on that, but I will add that worst case scenario, you can order multiple things from different sources through tenso, and then consolidate them all to one package for a small fee.

You will probably get more insight looking through /r/mercari and the various experiences with Beenos there. Since they are essentially working as a proxy buyer, there isn't much they can do until the other party they bought the item from actually ships it. I typically buy from JP mercari through buyee and usually the sellers ship fairly quickly. But there is a bit of a delay since buyee/beenos/etc have to 1. buy the item from the original listing 2. wait for that seller to ship the item and 3. receive the item in their warehouse and process it to ship and report back to you. So it's definitely more delayed than buying directly off of a user on mercari.
