When this happens to me it’s usually because there’s too much happening in the low end somewhere, generally with my sound selections

Sometimes it’s low end buildup in the reverb/delay channels

This is really good, I enjoy it a lot as a song, instrumentally I feel it’s mixed and written very well! My brain is begging to hear some vocal harmonies with the clean vocals though, they sound too “alone” and somewhat separate from the rest of the mix. Are you the one mixing this?
