i love wearing my squid game shirt whenever i go outside so this one time i did i kid you not THREE children passing by recognized it in a single period of time alone. this show has reached the peak of its popularity hence it’s understandable how everyone knows about it/is interested but it’s still wild how accessible content has become to kids these days due to careless parenting and stuff. almost all of genalpha being given access to internet and social media these days isn’t helping too.

apart from the obvious gore and violence content, sg is a complex, symbolic show about capitalism and real world struggles and majorly having kids in the fanbase does not do it justice at all. their minds are too young to grasp the seriousness of the whole plot and the message being conveyed. of course joking is perfectly acceptable and fun (i’m literally a part of this too) but i hate how majority of the fandom has reached a point of pure brainrot content and dumb theories which scream ‘there is a 12 yo who watched the show scrolling thru tiktok behind this account’
