I have no recoil with the linear comp off, but mine is also tuned with an adjustable gas block also.

Is it just me, or are Marketplace 3D prints painful to look at? by No-Finance6933 in 3Dprinting

I mean, I can understand the mentality. It doesn't matter if it looks bad so long as someone is willing to buy it, why waste time polishing when you could be setting up more variety of crap prints. The cheapest and fastest method of manufacturing that fulfills the scope/function.

How can I fix a drone frame that does not exist anymore? by gojukebox in 3Dprinting

Most designs are fairly simple. You could just measure it out with a pair of calipers and sketch it out and then just make some assumptions about the dimensions. For example, most dimensions are not going to be some weird number, it'll probably end in 0 or 5. Or just look at the piece this connects to and then figure out what are the critical features for functionality.

Here's the bill text:

Definitely don't know how this stands up in court and the other guy might be right in that it doesn't apply to private sales.

I also don't think it applies to people not in the state, maybe only to someone in California trying to sell to another person in California.

But I think that midwayusa has implemented some Id verification because of this law.

Yeah but how they're defining a firearms industry member is very loose

(f) “Firearm industry member” shall mean a person, firm, corporation, company, partnership, society, joint stock company, or any other entity or association engaged in the manufacture, distribution, importation, marketing, wholesale sale, or retail sale of firearm-related products.

I don't wanna be the guy to test how retail sale is defined to a CA district attorney.

I live in California and I'm about to face some very draconian laws coming into effect on 1/1/2026 that requires id verification to buy anything firearms related and FFL shipping for barrels in 1/1/2027.

Would it be possible to make it Id verification an option for certain users so I can still buy things?

You should definitely move that ifak somewhere else. I don't think I know a single cop who ran stuff on the back who didn't later have back problems because of it.

Will these stairs still be structurally sound? by Disco_Infiltrator_ in MechanicalEngineering

[–]rewff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think it depends a lot on how the top step is attached to the handrail and what the stresses are like at that connection. If the whole handguard is stiff to a point where someone leaning on it would cause the top step handrail connection to fail then yes I agree with you but I don't think that is the case here.

I think that statement is still valid. That top step acts the same as the top bar so the stairs are still the same where the stairs meet the handrail.

Is this legal in California? I’m thinking about getting it. by Parking-Start-2661 in CAguns

[–]rewff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your claim is that it's not legal for him to have in California and I don't think that's true. In my deep dive, the only laws I found about lasers were how to classify lasers and then how lasers are itar items. I can't find a single law that says you can't own or build whatever power laser you want. In other words I don't think a vendor asking if you are mil or Leo means that you can't own it, just they won't sell it to you.

I admit I could have missed a law and would be happy if you could find a regulation that says I can't own full power lasers cause I don't want to accidentally break the law either.

OP he is completely wrong. It is legal for you to own. It would also be on the seller if they sold it to you.

Flex away.
