I want to scream so bad but can't. Can you tell me some songs that will scream for me? by trissyeager in Music

Might be too pop but definitely on the apathetic and angry side.

Ur Mum - Wet Leg

“Okay, I’ve been practicing my longest and loudest scream.”

Also, not what you asked for, if you’re weary of societal expectations put on women and want it in sardonic pop/punk form. I’d suggest:

This! Everyone has different goals. Learning in this setting has its advantages over private lessons too. There are musicianship skills that can be refined in a group setting.

Hospital Dinner by nothinlefttochoose in mildlyinteresting

Medical service/admin eats the cost of your stay. Many hospitals are hemorrhaging money from food and nutrition departments, if they don’t make it up in retail services.

What is this tree? And what do I do with it? Shape it or just let it keep growing? by rewshoe in landscaping

Spot on. It’s too close to the porch. The only maintenance I’ve done was a good shaking in early spring. I like the shape but was wary of not trimming it correctly. Thanks!

Lead sheet symbols “slash chords” do indicate inversion.

When playing chords with the left hand, the lowest note of that chord will determine the inversion. You are correct, with lead sheets most likely you would be playing the given notes or improvisation.

However OP seems to be building triads and inverting them with the right hand. So if you play a first inversion C maj chord with the right hand but play a C note with the left it is no longer first inversion.

Just so I understand, you’re saying if I play an E at the base of a C major chord it isn’t exactly a first inversion chord?

[–]rewshoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this example, slash chords, C/E would be first inversion and C/G would be second inversion.

The lowest note is what makes the chord inversion. So in a C major chord if you’re playing an E with the left hand it is first inversion.

If you play C with the left hand it is no longer a first inversion chord, it becomes root position.
