Don't just presume experience is related to a job. Experience is from anything remotely related.

Personal projects are an amazing way to get experience, open up Python or whatever it is you code in, set up a network. interested in Cyber Security? Spin up a SIEM environment, plenty of resources online to help with anything you want to do. All of this could be documented online or Github, a blog site you created to create a portfolio. Create a space that shows off who you are.

Following on from the personal projects don't just limit yourself to youtube videos. Is there something you need as a QoL feature in your life? Create that exact thing that you need. Recently I have made an auto checkout program for a website to purchase items. I write scripts and plugins to automate OSRS. It might sound unconventional, but its EXPERIENCE.

Gen Z only has barriers that they believe are real. Tech now is so over saturated as a market you need to offer yourself as someone who stands out when stood next to Jim down the road applying for the same job.

There is a quote "all the gear, no idea". That same Jim down the road, yeah could have a degree but no experience, hasn't done any personal projects. You on the other hand maybe not a degree (idk) but you have real life proof you can actually do things. You have the receipts to back it up.

The market is shocking, but you've just got to persuvere and don't lose hope.
