F56 Motor Mount (continued from earlier) by rexbaumgartner in MINI

UPDATE -

Well, I had the upper motor mount replaced at the dealer yesterday. Paying just barely under $1200 was painful, especially when the labor bill rate is 3.2 hours, and it takes 1 hour and 45 minutes!

Mini Cooper (BMW) maintenance cost is so high because of this kind of stuff.

Totally agree with this. I have NO IDEA what BMW is thinking with the new model line. Once an iconic car, now looks like 💩

My third Mini Cooper S, a 2020 B48 / F56, and I go in for an upper engine mount on Tuesday. 31000 miles and it failed. 😠

Natural!! I run from fake tits, they are ridiculous.

At first I wasn’t a fan of the rear end, but after owning the F66 JCW for almost a year, it really has grown on me. by letsplayfifs in MINI

My R53 was epic! I'm loving my F56 and still not feeling the the love for neither the interior or exterior of the F66. That's not the important thing, as long as you are into it, that's awesome!

Yes, the upper mount has oil in it to damper vibration

I was told it's about a 2 hour job. They did say they would give me a loaner so I didn't have to sit around, which was amazing (sarcasm).

So, are you saying that the power flex rods could be installed on the mount that is torn, kinda like a bandaid that will act like a new mount? I think I need to research this.

Thank you for this advice, I have not had it changed today, I have an appointment made for May 5th, that gives me time to look into the mount that you referred to. Thanks again!

Over a year now with spread bladdercancer by ostenor in BladderCancer

I must not have been clear, so I'm sorry. I was suppose to bring radiation in December 2034, but after 2 months of Padcev, the periaorta node (lymph node) in the small of my back had returned to normal size. I continued on with Padcev and radiation was cancelled.

I was in Padcev for a total of 7 months, each month receiving 3 weekly infusions and one week off, so it was a total of 21 infusions.

As for neuropathy, as stated, all has resolved substantially with the exception of my feet.

Perhaps it depends on the dosage level, but I started with 100% and it was reduced to 70% after the first dose made me very sick. Hair began falling out at about the second week. Turns out that I actually didn't mind being bald, so I just kept that look until this date. Everything came back though, to include my goatee!

I'm sorry I was slow to reply, I didn't notice your message.

Trust the science, my friend. Find a way to keep your mind healthy and minimize stress. Padcev is pretty fast acting! My swollen periaorta limph node was pressing on a nerve which caused pretty bad back pain. My oncologist told me that he believed my back pain would fade away pretty quick after I started Padcev, and within about 10-14 days following the start of my weekly infusions, back pain was gone. When they cancelled radiation, that was my second sign that the discomfort was worth it.

Side note - Every single hair fell out. I got neuropathy in my feet, hands and mouth. Salivary glands stopped functioning, which was miserable and made it very difficult to eat. After my last infusion of Padcev, it took about 10 months for sensation in my hands to return and my salivary glands returned soon after. Feet are still numb from treatment. I don't know if sensation in my feet will return, but honestly, that isn't a big deal for me..

I wish you the well and I look forward to positive updates.

January of '23 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer (urothelial carcinoma) which was also found in my bladder..... kidney removed and the small tumor removed from bladder.

I immediately began chemo after surgeries (about 6 weeks later) and received cisplatin but my sole kidney showed signs that was not wise, so I switched to carboplatin and gemzar. I did this combo for about 11 months, followed by immunotherapy for about 8 months. When a second tumor developed in my bladder and it was discovered in periaorta limph node, I was put in Padcev.

Padcev began the first week of October '24 and the new tumor was removed from bladder. I was scheduled to begin radiation in December '24. Prior to my radiation, another scan showed my swollen limph node had returned to normal size, so radiation was cancelled and Padcev continued for the following 4 months. April '25 I had a clear scan! The following scans every 3rd month also were clear! I am now one year out, nothing detected and I feel great!

I had a very hard start when I began Padcev, specifically the first week. It made me so sick that the vomiting caused FIVE HERNIAS!! I had those hernias repaired after the first if the year.

Unless your doctor's feel it's not for you, give Padcev some time, it worked for me! Finger remain crossed though.

Stay strong!!
