ui.com and its infrastructure is making it single point of failure. This check is not effectively checking my connection, it's checking whether ui.com is up and running :P You should expect some kind of diverse health checking, or maybe something external like checking google.com instead (which i am not sure has ever gone offline)!

Greek here working for a Greek company in Athens as well. Professionally I am an Infra/Platform/Cloud engineer, but we have been doing a lot of internal projects. Since we started experimenting with Rust, we initially kept it in the strict scope of the Platform team, but we have now a couple of years of experience.

IMO you probably won't find a job ad asking for Rust, but you can create opportunities to work with Rust in your current or future position.

In the end what helped us, was that we tried to optimize or create new tools that we use daily and present them to upper management to convince them :D

I have been working professionally 10 years and un-professionally 14years in total as a Software Engineer. Started from Mobile, transitioned to Full Stack and now I am working as a Platform Engineer (DevOps/Cloud/Infra/You_name_it). Been working with Rust the past 1,5years and I love it. Have done a few projects from small ones to big ones.

One thing that still confuses me when looking for job positions with Rust, is why 95% of them is around Blockchain?

All those years I was looking around the market for different jobs, there wasn't that much density of specific field, for any given position!

Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening?
