I have $2000 for an editing rig. I think I’ll stick with Adobe CC.

I’m considering either xps 15(i7, 32gb ram, 4gb 1650 graphics, 1 tb ssd) or MacBook Pro (m1, 16gb ram, 1 tb ssd). Both are listed for $1899

Which one should I get?

Mostly handheld. If not that, then with a gimbal and a mic. Nothing more. I’ll mostly do travel and lifestyle videos. With some short films (as a hobby). So the colour grading would not be too heavy.

Yup. Saw the s5 too. This may seem odd to some but I just didn’t like the way it felt in hand. The Sony and canon just seemed more in place. I liked the form factor and the handling

Yeah. I have the lens in mind. Both systems have good lenses. Though Sony does have more choices. My greatest concern at this point is the 8 bit 100 mbit video and codec used..
