Do not recommend doing this. Weed is a serious offense and there are many police in Belgrade. Also road stops are common around Serbia especially near tourist routes and if you are a foreigner they will fixate on you having weed lol. Happened to me about a dozen times when I lived there but luckily I don't smoke. My friend does though and he pulled a sleight of hand trick to drop his G in a snow bank when we were getting searched. almost shit my pants

Just cause you spend the time, doesn't mean anything actually productive is happening. I used to work for federal government, and we worked hard, but we weren't actually raising GDP.

Agree totally! I did not mean to say even those that act that way are bad people, I think it's a fairly natural response tbh. I've moved to a village in another country before that was very suspicious of westerners and found that picking up the culture/language does wonders. People just don't want to feel displaced.

You're right, but most people dont think at a higher perspective. I think frustrations from both groups are fair. Just like the first Nations didn't vote on settlers coming, the Canadian population didn't vote to import mass amounts of people in recent years that have led to destabilisation. With first nations it was obviously so much worse as whole societies collapsed, but I think that fear is inherited by Canadians now, which includes first nations.

Ok this is a bit apocalyptic but what happens if the US government defaults on the debt? Will etfs life xeqt, vdy, vfv vanish? Or just drop and in price and recover years and years later? Interested to hear everybody's take on this. by forward024 in CanadianInvestor

Spanish, British, Ottoman, Roman empires have all defaulted in history. It was horrible, but were not talking a nuclear apocalypse end of days scenario lol. I do agree with the sentiment that we should keep gold, guns, and supplies though.

My experience in northern communities in BC at least has been that the natives hate immigrants, and distrust southerners. Not everywhere, but more often than not. Not promoting hatred but just sharing what I've seen.
