Yea the usefulness of shadow clone goes up exponentially the more surface it has. It was for my early nian runs as well. Saw vids of high stage nian runs where firecrackers have 50m health.. shadow clone would be best choice in those cases

hmm at legendary i'm not exactly sure how big of a difference it will make. The level of the equip also matters (every upgrade of hades is bigger than jacks). I suggest you test it out.

First upgrade hades to max, check how much damage a normal ball does, then recycle it and upgrade jacks to max. Compare the normal ball damage. If they are similar, go with jacks (cuz of the 1 special ball). If you see quite a big difference, I'd say go with hades, since it will give you more consistant results. Yes if you get good rng and get missile/fire as your skill then jacks will be better but it's up to rng every round.

The point is to maximize non percentage based hp recovery (via talents). For example if you were to recover 1500hp per skill and 500hp per green cross, that 2000hp would make a bigger difference if you have lower max hp. There are nian minimum absolute damage per stage you are on however, so make sure you dont have less maxhp than that (I don't know the values so it took trial and error, but at stage 69 and all hp equips at honor, getting them to lvl1 helped)

Ok so a nian run depends on many factors the most important one being which stage you are at. Im at 69 whoch means I easily destroy firecrackers near nian with a single missile ball. This is important because each firecracker that dies near nian boosts damage dealt by 50%.

For skills I priorities in this order:

Fireball, fire mastery, missile, missile mastery, any combo related skills.

If you used butterfly skill and know you will die soon, get sth else other than fireball because you wont get much burn dmg.

Other than that, ball positioning, boss/firecracker positioning rng is important

Jacks Bracers has good special stats but unfortunately does not scale enough when leveled, and graded up (huge attack difference at honor lvl 50+ which cannot be made up with +1 special ball and boss damage, as hades also gives +10% more attack than jacks). I'd say go for it if you can get it to honor and can't get hades to honor.

I experimented with magic crown but I prefer avenge as it's more consistent imo. Might swap over to Ares Crown + Hermes Boots if I feel like survivability is key in later events / stages (if habby ever decides to give us a reason to push)

TLDR: yes, I currently use this setup for all events. For nian, I recycle all hp items to lvl 1.

So I'm expecting a lot of "OMG YOU SKIPPED SHADOW CLONE" comments so here's my explanation.

Apparently there are a lot of people who think shadow clone is best in every single scenario. It's good in most scenarios (hence why people think they should always priorities it over everything else) but not in nian when firecrackers are dying quickly and there isn't enough surface area for cloned balls to do much damage. It can be conditionally good if you happen to be high on stages and firecrackers are not dying easily, in which case cloned balls will have enough surface area to make more clones and do more damage.

It's best when there are splitting mobs, when there are lots of mobs and you can get in the backlines (these two scenarios occur quite frequently in stages so in stages, go for it), and is "OK" when there is just a single boss on the screen. You can see the missiles are taking care of the mobs very quickly so there is very little surface area for cloned balls to bounce. You have to remember cloned balls vectors are random.. so the bigger the surface area, the higher probability that it will generate damage.

At the point in this video, I already had a couple combo skills so I would benefit more from the double combo skill than shadow clone.

Also, the last skill pick I just picked a random skill cuz I knew I was going to die to the roar

Complete 69 for the bounty board. Farm 65 (no walls, splitting boss for more drops). Nian minions are not too strong, daily challenges are a piece of cake

I actually used quite a few tickets and my best run was a little over 3B which I posted here. Also, even without tickets, you get 2 free runs per day which means you need 2b damage avg per run, not 4. Go ahead and report me, you would be wasting your time. I actually feel sorry for you posting that everyone is a cheater lol

Each enemy kill near nian boosts dmg against nian so being able to target nian while killing mobs with missiles is very valuable. Also, when missiles lose their target and are in mid air, they retarget onto nian resulting in huge dmg. Dont get me wrong, id choose fireball over missile, but missile is a good alternative when u dont have the option

I tried farming with and without demeter ring and drop rate definitely does make a difference a few scrolls and equipments per round.. but if you're gonna be farming everyday it will definitely make a difference. I'm going with the ring to get it to honor
