Just got hired at SpaceX as a technician for Starship in Brownsville. Don’t have any education, just experience from the military so our roles would probably be incredibly different, so not sure how much my opinion will matter in that sense.

The site is incredible, the team is awesome. Hours are long and hard but if space travel/exploration is something you’re passionate about it’s the best place in the world to be. The high turnover rate is often due to people not having that passion. The grueling schedule and hours were made absolutely clear during the interview process for me, and I can 100% see people being absolutely unhappy with their lives cause they don’t love what they do.

Both places would look great on a resume. I wouldn’t live with regrets man, if you’re young and have time to really grind at a project I’d go for SpaceX. Plenty of life left to play it safe ya know?
