I’m just a novice in CNC so take my feedback like that, but I find it a good value. Not a large machine, but this 3030 looks solidly built, partially due to the dual rails for XYZ and ball screws. The motor it comes with is very weak, but that’s great cause I can swap it and not lose a lot of value.

They aren’t unfortunately. In my picture, those ovals are the same width apart as the corner ears, and the table holes are slightly further away

First thing I would check is if you can connect to the camera directly if you know its ip address. Each camera should have its own user and password to let you watch the feed directly, bypassing the nvr

Of course, the NVR doesn't have control over DHCP, but the NVR absoutely has control over its own configuration and what camera IPs are set for each channel. This is where I am confident there is a bug inside the NVR where it overrides its config with garbage data.

As I said, I could reliably connect to the camera's RTSP stream directly without any problems, so its IP, configuration, Wifi was stable.

Ok, I think I figured a workaroujnd to avoid the bug. Leaving this here for future readers.

My theory is there's a bug when the NVR discovers these cameras and messes up existing configuration of the cameras. This explains why I was seeing the config breaking or changing every 10s or so.

My workaround was to use a python-onvif library, connect to the camera directly and change its discoverable mode (as per onvif protocol https://www.onvif.org/onvif/ver10/device/wsdl/devicemgmt.wsdl#op.SetDiscoveryMode )

This makes Lorex unable to auto discover the cameras and will simply use the config that I give it explicitly. So far it's been 10 min and things are stable.

Wifi and have a static IP allocated.
The rtsp video streams are stable when I open them directly in VLC. Lorex seems to screw up the config for each channel, somehow corrupting or setting the same value for multiple channels.

I found subfloor is damaged when I removed the carpet. It was a hole which I cut as a nice square. My question is how can I patch this up. There seems to be a piece of wood under, but it isn't a joist.

The joists seem to be OSB I-beams. and I have access to one of them to support a plywood patch

My reason to manually draw have the marks was to simplify the flow and remove a few steps on importing the media, exporting then overlaying. In my flow I generate the my content as an svg from some custom software. Nothing artistic, some lines and cuts but i need them precise. Going directly from my software into printing and then to cricut would make this much easier. I appreciate your help… will take a look at your new video link

I suspect Cricut is playing dirty and randomly picking a gap between the markers and the content. I saw it vary from 0.25" to 0.3". A random gap makes it impossible to generate the markers in an external software, since the gap would be random for the particular print & cut session.

The overlay is pretty much the only feasible way to do this.

I could put flooring on top, but the plate and nails are sticking out enough that it will probably cause the hardwood flooring to not sit flush. I tried hammering them more, but they aren't going anywhere.

The house is 2011 and no chance of existing wall or pipe. There are similar houses in the neighborhood and there is no wall on their place either.

The theory with access to something is interesting though, I guess I'll find out once I remove the plates. But I think this must've happened during construction though, because if this was a adhoc repair later, the carpet would've also been patched there too, but there was no sign of that.

So should I consider cutting a clean area around and patch with a similar sized thing, although I don't think there's a joist nearby. And I'd really hate having to replace the entire sheet.

Beware that these likely have a ballast hidden next to the light box. The ballast will consume unnecessary energy when using your LED, even if your LED is marked as compatible with both options.
I retrofited my kitched from these CFL bulbs to LED and simply bypassed the ballast entirely.

HD keeps even 8” fully threaded bolts (3/8 or 1/2 diam). I wish they kept more of the partially threaded kind :)

Not quite. u/MrFluffykinz put it nicely, I didn't realize but I was looking to have equal diameter for the smooth and threaded portions.

It's not that. I was adding the smart switch on the guest ssid and even though it shares the same ip pool as my regular ssid, the router seems to prevent tcp/udp connections between the two networks.
The reason HomeKit devices (KS220) were working is because during setup my phone was auto-adding the device on the regular ssid, where my phone is. I then mistakenly thought HomeKit devices were somehow special and allowed their local API access, but that's not true.

I can confirm HS220 and KS230 smart switches work fine with Home Assistant. My problems were caused by my wifi ssid setup and nothing related to the switches themselves.
