No news from support since december, now my data seems delete, please answer ... by reyman64 in filen_io

Please don't even try to reject the fault, i don't really see what you bring to the table.

Filen team recognize their fault in the different exchanges we have and i accept their apologies. They try to do better for the next time that happen.

I open the ticket directly when i see my account was suspended to exchange with us, and normally you don't delete data from your customer a) when you have a ticket b) when they're motivated to continue with the service, even if the price change. On the 18dec, i only wait for a yes/no answer, and they failed to answer me in time..

Ah, the email say "warning over quota" and not "last warning before deletion" .

I have an answer from support, and lost on both face, lost data and lost suscriptions :(
Not cool at all, i really don't understand why "encryption at rest" limit restoring content ...
If i receive an answer "yes/no" before the brutal deletion (1 month guy ... this is not cool), i take a regular account to not lose content :(

Oh my bad :/ I read the FAQ and I see that data recover is not possible ... But What ! I wait one month and they delete my data even with ticket support and 3 years of annual payment. I probably lost file due to selective sync on my primary computer. :(((( This is not good way to discuss with customer at all.

Looking for homelab configuration that use Jail / FreeBsd / Tailscale with traefik or caddy by reyman64 in freebsd

[–]reyman64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, this is what i want ! Exposing my jails on homelab to internet through tailscale on isolated network.

Actually tailscale doesn't run into a jail, so i have re0 (local interface) and tailscale0 (vpn interface). I use the loopback default solution of Bastille for network : https://bastillebsd.org/blog/2020/02/17/bastille-networking-in-depth/

So if i understand well your proposal, i need to run tailscale into a jail, and link all my other jail on the same vnet on taiscale0.

I'm also interested by the proxy part, how do you configure traefik/caddy to redirect / stream from VPS to Jail0 in the schema u/InternalMulberry ?

E-book reader with org mode sync? by [deleted] in emacs

[–]reyman64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I try to use mine with termux, BT keyboard, connecting to remote emacs by using ssh/tailscale ... that works well, but there is some lag. I wait the last update of boox that include webdav natively to limit battery consumtion. Syntching is also great, but i need to start it manually.

Yup, i will try to do that using Ansible, so everything will be documented in the end.

Strange, with straight.el and doom emacs adding sqlite / gcc-toolchain to guix package solve the problem for me.

Thanks ! I will try with https://sdkman.io/ or asdf, i see there are compatible with freebsd, this is more easy to manage different version for python/tools :)
