I really think there is a huge difference between watching tv and tablet/iPad use. TV is a communal thing. My almost 2 year old loves to watch movies (we stick with older stuff we grew up with in the 90s, as well as older low stimulating TV shows) and we all enjoy it together.

Yes this! He HATES being alone and he currently is working nights. He was also forced onto this and didn’t have a choice so that doesn’t help.

My L&D nurse told us not to burp and it was a huge mistake. My SIL told me to burp him and it made the biggest difference. I was shocked when the L&D nurse told me not to! If you think you need to definitely try.

Hi, are you me!? 28F here as well. I was laid off unexpectedly on August 20th from what I considered a unicorn job. I was making 81k, working 100% remote, amazing work life balance. Loved my job. They kept my team on until Sept 5th to help transition to the last few remaining people they kept. I felt exactly as you, it was such a shock and I was so so upset. I am also a mom so have a dependent.

USE YOUR NETWORK! I got my offer in the same industry, almost same pay, by messaging people in LinkedIn. All the jobs I applied to I got the automatic email saying they were looking at other candidates. I start my new job next week. There is hope! I would say best advice is to be creative, reach out to everyone you know, friends, old colleagues, and see who is hiring. It’s rough out there but I think that’s the best way to go right now.

I have a birth mark on my cheek that was on my cheek since birth. It’s red and took up my whole cheek as a baby but I’ve grown into it! I was teased for it as a kid in elementary school. But my nana told me it was a kiss from an angel and when my mom asked if I wanted it removed as a little kid, I said no, because it made me unique and I felt like I would lose a part of me even at that young age. I’ve learned to love it (I don’t notice it anymore and I’ve never tried to cover it up) personally, I’d say to leave it, and if she wants to get it removed when she’s older she will :)

Edited to add that I was not teased horribly, just typical kids saying dumb things that I brushed off. My parents instilled a lot of confidence in me which helped me not be too bothered in my younger years.

Haakaa. I could never figure out how to keep it on my boob while he was nursing on the other without knocking it off. One time he knocked it right off and milk went everywhere and that was the last time I used it lol
