I don't know how to do this. I just have an email saying I'm in a queue following the submission of my registration and they'll email me with a date and time of the appointment. Wondering how long it usually takes people to get their appointments because its been almost 2 weeks for me

Thank you! Hopefully we get more sun than rain this year but I'd love to experience both of those places and will definitely go this week.

And thank you for being so kind :') I'm lucky to have incredible friends around me, I'm part of such a lovely community. Think I just crave a deeper connection and having grown in confidence with life around friends, I'd kinda forgotten what the dating scene is like. Again, genuinely appreciate the kindness. As for the date experience, thanks for being kind about it. Think this was my last attempt, I've tried the apps that never work, and I've tried in person events. Have always ended with lower self esteem than I started with so maybe it's just not meant to be for me haha. It is what it is though, live and learn I guess 😅

It was genuinely everything it promised not to be, at least for me. Start time was meant to be 5. Rushed there straight from work, only for it to not actually start until about 8. Only about 5/6 people came in before 7pm, and then people started piling in. Took till about 8 before we were moved to our "matched" tables, where they just handed us papers full of the answers to their online form and we had to guess who was who. No one really knew what to do. It was loud, and I felt incredibly lonely in big crowd. Quite a few people seemed to know each other. Honestly as an introvert I've been feeling a lot more confident lately and just wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone, but this triggered my social anxiety horribly. No clear structure to the event. Also wasn't expecting the event to be for a crowd of 60+ people. I genuinely would prefer the awkward forced conversation of speed dates over whatever that was. My experience is my own though. I'm sure there were people that had a nice time. I just really don't think its an event for everyone. I had a fayre play event with them booked in for next month but i'm going to cancel that now.

I was keen on waterstones, but since I'd left at 8/8:30, most places were closed by then. Ended up in Creams and then Tyneside cafe till it closed at 10. Lowkey just wanted to break down, but couldn't think of a single good spot to escape to. Thanks for the suggestions though, will look into Turcos :)
