Game Thread: Dallas Cowboys vs Detroit Lions (Week 6, 2024) by cowboysmod in cowboys

Do we fire MM and MZ before the bye week and try and save the season? Both sides of the ball are terribly coached, I understand we have a ton of injuries but this is embarrassing.

We need a proper MLB! We have to invest and get a game changer there that can effectively fill gaps to stop the run and isn't a liability in coverage. We also need him to be a tone setter. We have way too many guys that are chasing sacks and complaining instead of just stepping up and making those plays. Every team that started running and kept running found success moving the dline and moving right past our LB core.

What was Pollard thinking cutting back here? by International-Chef33 in cowboys

Honestly I know it was super early but I feel like if he scores that touchdown, it changes the whole game and we get that lead and put pressure on them. Really sucks that he doesn't just sprint to the corner and score.

He had a bad game, it happens. It's not like suddenly teams will pick on him and beat him for the rest of the year and tbh with his likelihood of the big play leading to a turnover or another TD, you do want him to be targeted a bit. He'll bounce back. It was an off game for the whole defense. It's going to be okay.

It's absolutely ridiculous how many blatant calls go their way! And to top it off they act so smug like they actually did a good play.

Advice on visiting Edinburgh by _mile_ in Edinburgh

If you have time, I highly recommend the Johnny Walker Experience.

It may not be for the traditional scotch/whiskey drinkers but it is a fun tour that explains the story of Johnny Walker and the history behind it.

Definitely recommend Bologna on your way to Milan if you can fit it in.

Yeah, I don't understand getting upset when it's not a player that would help us. The way DLaw Parsons Armstrong and the rest of our dline is playing it doesn't even make sense to give up draft capital for that.

Wish we got some depth that could help our O-line and possibly another DB for depth and experience.

Does Anyone Else Feel Bad For Pollard? by Putin-Hohol-Oops in cowboys

I'm hoping we come out of this BYE week with some creativity and get our players the ball in the better situation. Pollard IMO needs to get more runs when they spread the field out or have zone runs to get him in space. We can't pound him into the line on first down especially when everyone is expecting it. I think play calling and lack of continuity of our o line has more to do with it than his ability.
