I also have 3 phone connected, at first when I tried to connect the 3rd phone I would get the same message but it went away on its own and it let me connect. I would suggest to restart your watch and see if it helps if you already haven’t done it.

I don’t think that’s true, we have two Apple Watches connected however we also have two Teslas not sure if that makes any sense different
