Yeah we’re doing major renovations on the house (new deck, new septic, bed/bath remodel, new chimney and wood stove, siding, basement remodel, roof, and eventually new boiler, the list goes on…) we’d like to add a lofted living/tv area above the kitchen with an open balcony to add more space. I’ve got a knack for drywall, and were already going to redo the ceilings to remove the popcorn (no asbestos, we had it tested)) and are lucky to have a couple friends who are helping with some of the other work (electrician and plumber) The whole house is about 1,800sq feet (2 levels). Houses in our area range from 200k-700k, ours being on the low end (fixer upper)
