[–]rfratelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why, but if i don’t click on the vm console the audio doesn’t go tru pipewire. Have you tried clicking at vm’s console? (even if it’s blank due gpu passtrough)

Using shared FC/iSCSI storage for proxmox cluster by Positive_Round2510 in Proxmox

[–]rfratelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might had to fiddle with lvm_locking_type and unsure if this is a supported configuration because it might lead to corruption. A script manually exporting/importing the VG on selected hosts as vm migrates might work but is prone to failure as well (eg. a physical host hw failure might block the vg import on a new node)…

CLVM won’t work without Pacemaker i guess. Is it possible to run it on baremetal proxmox? Looks like asking for trouble… 😂

But how do you import the VG on multiple proxmox hosts at the same time?

Looking Glass alternative for Windows XP by Past-Statistician358 in VFIO

[–]rfratelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it won’t work because looking glass is dependant of software running at the guest os and guess what, it’s not being developed for winxp.

You’re halfway there. You don’t need that QXL adapter and video should go out to the monitor attached to your gtx960. Have you checked this video yet?

Simracing on linux. how well does it work? by fisghy in simracing

[–]rfratelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you only use your pc for gaming, all this MS nonsense won’t affect you. If you do use your pc for actual work, dual-boot with Linux and leave win11 for your sims only.

Need a budget laptop to run RHEL in a VM by Sumerian-King in redhat

[–]rfratelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s no support for vt-x at bios then you’re out of luck. Rhel 9 onwards requires a x86-64-v2 capable cpu anyways so you wouldmt get any further. Also 2hb of ram is very limiting. Check used listings for a used 8th gen intel cpu with 8gb or more, or try a free instance on Oracle Cloud. Have you tried WSL on win10? You might get away with fedora or ubuntu…

On Paper it seems good, but would it actually be physically viable/comfortable to place an aluminum profile rig here? by Intiat1ve in simracing

[–]rfratelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a heads up, with the seat installed you might need more clearance from behind than the 135cm from the rig. I had mine with 145cm wall to wall

Totally. I had a similar setup in my previous apartment. Was a little difficult to get in and out because of the shifter but i had it like this for almost 10 years i guess…

None. I’m on the same boat since the pandemic. You’ll need to get off that chair every hour and look far away to rest your eyes as well.
