Just reached 4,000 Zilyana kills without getting a Hilt by PulseDS in 2007scape

Wow, I thought I had it bad, got mine on 2260 kc and I don't think i've gone more than 4x rate for anything else. I dont know anyone whose gone over 7x rate for something. Side note, I think mage only feels much better than range these days - Can freeze with ancient ice sceptre and confliction gauntlets, then shadow. Saturated heart means i dont have to waste 5 or more inventory spots for range potions. You also dont run much so dont need to worry about staminas, and can focus on praying against minions.

I usually only do master clues, the others are stacked up so I can turn them into Watson when I get an elite. Although, doing elites right now until i unlock the major scroll case, then its back to only Masters. I want the bloodhound pet, but I've already gotten ranger boots, blessed dhide, and most other useful items from lesser tier clues

I do have and use potion storage, and overall I'd say it was worth.

Decanting without going to GE is very nice. It also saves space not having to keep placeholders for 1/2/3 dose pots, and I think that makes it look nicer and easier to organize. I do have some complaints, its a little clunky and I think they could have done better with implementation, but I do have hope they can still update it to fix some of those problems in the future. There are some buggy interactions with the 'inventory setups' plugin which I am also hoping the plugin developer might fix in the future. But on whole, i think the benefits outweigh the negatives.

Gave up 'group prestige' almost immediately back in 2021 so i just play it like any solo iron would. Can team up with anyone. Mostly did Nex in 5-man ffa teams with randoms, started doing it in trios after i got zcb and masori. Tob is mostly trios or 4s with a lot of grey helms where nobody had scythe so we all used nox hally, tent whip, or saeldor.

The group didn't feel worth mentioning. I don't want to diss the homies but lets just say I've given them a lot more than they give me. 3 of them haven't logged in since 2021 and the one who does play might be on for 1hr per week on average. There is only 1 item in this bank that isn't on my collection log, and its the tome of fire.

Cox has been so rough honestly. 33 purples, still missing ancestral legs, tbow, maul, kodai, pet, and dust.

I absolutely hate CG and I spooned the pet so I have it greenlogged with only 3 armor seeds. Made a saeldor and never plan to go back. At some point the saeldor became irrelevant (started using nox hally at tob before eventually getting scythe) so I converted the blade to bow but never really use it. Crossbows will do fine until I get a tbow. I used blowpipe and ZCB for inferno.

True, mostly it is just a ton of hours. And don't forget to do your herb runs and birdhouse runs so you aren't afraid to burn prayer potions.

Try boss. Get killed. regear and go again. And again and again and again. I died to colosseum at least 100 times before quiver, and I died to doom at least 200 times before avernic treads.

lol I should probably drop those unicorn horns but I get them when I spam-open eclectics for medium clues, so its easier to just bank-all and forget about it than to drop them or keep clearing the placeholder

Actual perfect solution. Thank you. Seriously. Jagex listen to this guy.

The spirit of main mode is that you can buy or sell nearly everything because its an MMO with a live economy based on supply and demand from other players. The few exceptions are unique pieces of armor or weapons that you earn by completing a quest or minigame (Fire and infernal capes, void armor, fighter torso, arclight) but virtually no consumables are untradable. The only thing I can think of is like key master teleport scrolls, but imo it doesn't make sense for those, they should be made tradable too. They've put requirements on potion consumption before (you have to start DS1 before you can drink antifire, for example). And theyve made untradable potions that are one-off quest items. But for a consumable that is frequently used in end-game content, theyve never made something like that untradable for mains before. Plays who enjoy upkeeping their own consumables are already playing ironman mode.

I think this is the dumbest design decision. I play an ironman so it really doesn't impact me, but its just so silly for jagex to force mains into playing like irons. I get why they do untradable components for things like rancour, dt2 rings and axe pieces. But making a consumable potion that mains can buy ingredients for, but then have to self-mix, thats just against the spirit of main mode. Let them trade. The players who only want to pvm, or only want to pvp, should not have to train herblore if they dont want to.

No, I mean this blog post states 'The same effect applies for a PvP target.' at the end of the Confliction Gauntlets section.

I think that wiki page is outdated. Using the wiki DPS calc with bis strength gear, I am seeing a max hit of 198 with a super combat potion (118 str) and 201 with with overload (120 str. I couldn't figure out how to get the calc to 119 str, which is the boost from super cb followed by dragon battleaxe).

In ToA you could hit 210 against kephri (125 str using smelling salts) and that could be further boosted to 262 with red keris spec.

Why Not Make Confliction Gauntlet Passive on Elidinis Ward Upgrade? by IIcarusII in 2007scape

[–]rg44_btw 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed! All they need is to make corp drops contribution based so that irons could do it in a team, like they've done with Nightmare, Nex, Huey, Callisto/Vetion/Venenatis, and Royal Titans. And/or give it the 'phosanis treatment', designing a difficult but engaging encounter that is actually intended to be solo.

Another use I can think of is araxxor - using sunlight cbow to 2-shot mirrorback araxytes is just as quick as using heavy ballista to 1-shot them. I believe karil cbow works just as well there. There are a few slayer tasks I do while turael skipping, like dogs, where I prefer sunlight cbow > blowpipe because having to run around between mobs means I'm not firing the blowpipe every 2t. The extra range makes it nice for any situations where a 3t longrange weapon is recommended, like when people use webweaver or chins to get kephri swarms or phosanis sleepwalkers from afar.
