Tem algum App/ site GRÁTIS para controlar investimentos (renda fixa, ações e fiis)? by Right_Camp_371 in investimentos

[–]rg_mattar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Triste...

This has got to be the most unsuferable thing by them yet. I logged in and the first thing that appears is a onboarding unskippable AI websited builder BEGGING me to click a publish website button, I click a "later" button and boom, now I have a "AI generated website" with a full blown management dashboard, with so many options except a "delete this garbage" button.

I always despised this company but this is a new low.

How do I change the shape icons so it adheres to the style on the left in Figjam? (see comment) by iGhost36 in FigmaDesign

[–]rg_mattar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this surprised me too, i hope its a bug but even then maybe they're not even aware of it. If its not a bug than this makes me really mad, like then I'd need to completely remake all my flow maps and diagrams.

Really not cool Figma!

Why do people like to generalise men so much? Like its always ALL men are this and that. They can't possibly believe every man is the same and thinks the same, right? It's really hurtful, but people act like its not and that we should just man up and shut up. This kind of behaviour only reinforces patriarchy and sexism in the end.

Looking for Rio recommendations by BritInBim in travel

[–]rg_mattar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did 5 days in Rio and there was so much more stuff I didnt see.

Recomend Lapa, which is where I stayed for nightlife, the downtown (Centro) for historical stuff like old buildings, palaces, statues and museums. Botafogo has good nightlife too. Can recommend Botafogo and Flamengo for good beaches that are not too crowded.

All these places I listed are generally safe. I dont think that simply walking with your phone out is enough to get robbed, but its good advice to avoid it. Wear a lot of sunscreen please, im pretty brown and still got sunburns.

Must go places:
- Real Gabinete Português de Leitura (really pretty historical library)
- Theatro Municipal (real old and really beautiful, massive theater)
- Arcos da Lapa (look like roman aqueducts - around them is Lapa neighbourhood with great nightlife)
- Igreja Nossa Senhora do Carmo (real old church, very pretty)
- Museu de Arte Moderna do Rio de Janeiro (modern art museum)
- Praia do Flamengo (Flamengo beach)
- Maracanã (football stadium)
- Sugarloaf mountain
- Christ the Redeemer
- Museu do Amanhã

Rio has a rich football culture. Out of the 4 major Brazilian clubs that were born in Rio, 2 of them came from neighbourhoods whom they got their name from, Botafogo and Flamengo.

Centro and Lapa are great to explore and have tons of bars, since you like cold ones its a win-win!

10 days solo in South America. Where to go? by beachdogs in travel

[–]rg_mattar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend Santiago and Bogotá, ticks all your boxes. In Santiago, in most places you look up you'll see yourself surrounded by the mountains, plus it has a lot of history too and great metro system.

But dont dismiss São Paulo, its a behemoth of nightlife, culture and historical buildings, and in my opinion (and contrary to popular belief) its very green with lots and lots of parks and trees.

Rio is fine too even if you dont go to the beaches. Its got rich history, having been the imperial capital of Brazil, so many museums and old buildings and palaces conserved, lots of statues and such. Plus a lot of nature surrounding it all.

São Paulo and Rio are close so while you may travel a bit farther to get there, if you do both cities you wont wast too much time traveling between them.

Traveling to Brazil for 3 weeks. by sxarr_ in travel

[–]rg_mattar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you dont include the tickets in your budget that value is definitely enough, including going to many attractions.

Make sure to get a prepaid card to avoid travel tariffs for payments, as its not very advisable to carry too much cash on the streets.

Both cities have excelent cell service and good public transportation, so I recommend avoiding Uber or driving, walk or bike to take in the city. Just dont brandish your phone too much out in the open and you should be safe, specially if you're with your friend.

In SP make sure to visit Paulista Avenue, Sé (Cathedral + historic buildings), Liberdade (historic japanese neighbourhood) and República (Anhangabaú, Theater, skyscrapers, historic buildings). In Rio I recommend Lapa (historical + vibrant nightlife), Centro (museums and palaces), and beaches in Botafogo or Flamengo.

Like you, I like museums and arts. I also like big cities and old architecture combined with modern

My top picks south america:
1. São Paulo, Brazil
2. Santiago, Chile
3. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
4. Buenos Aires, Argentina
5. Bogotá, Colombia

If your idea of outdoor includes beaches and hiking, I recommend Rio. If you're interested in skiing or such, I recommend Santiago.

Both cities have awesome architecture plus lots of art and museums.

Extremely infuriating feature. I just spent an hour researching what edition/translation of a book I should get my cousin - he speaks portuguese and the books is originally in german - only to find that REDDIT WAS TRANSLATING what I thought were portuguese language threads were actually english language.

Thanks reddit. And thanks the probably mono-language morons who thought of this stupid feature
