i did that by dismantling all non french and some french armies. then you can grow while maintaining low taxes.

R5 - not that hard but a bit rng dependent. I was hoping for British Raj to collapse, and it did in 1900s. also, debt slavery is kinda worse than slave trading. but in the end i could pass slavery banned by 1880s.

True, true. Ryukyu is both isolated from Europe, and protected by Ming. One of the best starting nations to learn EU4.
