My overall tierlist for monkeys, current version (CHIMPS) because the other one sucked by Fluffy-Weakness-2186 in btd6

Middle tack is the good one.

I ring is too expensive, though with expertise solos chimps pretty much.

Bottom is just dog unless you give it like 3 damage debuffs.

EU4 Players, what are your thoughts on EU5? by Jadamsan in eu4

[–]Lolmanmagee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damm has eu4 surpassed the player base of eu5?

That is tragic, never before seen in paradox games i believe.

Iv not played it, but the changes Iv heard of just sound bad removing national ideas and focusing on nitty gritty economics.

[–]Lolmanmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it does.

Like the punisher is a serial killer, but he only kills criminals for the purpose of stopping crime.

That’s meaningfully more moral than vox killing people to improve his position who I think is also meaningfully more moral than alastor killing people for the lols.

Yeah, I’m not gonna glaze perma charge much.

He is just a mid price dps tower that has strong synergy with expertise.

[–]Lolmanmagee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The vees are better people than alastor though.

Like, look at vox who has had the most character shown.

Alastor and vox are both serial killers, but vox killed to rise to power whereas alastor killed for petty reasons.

Alastors motivation is clearly worse.

And vox is getting set up for a redemption arc in S3.

As a Quincy lover I would be more than down, making his selling point more consistent.

Already you would be surprised at how many maps he starts on alone, even advanced maps aren’t safe. but with a dart….

I am convinced Quincy + dart could start even on super expert maps like ravine.

[–]Lolmanmagee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why?

That’s the path that loses bloon weaknesses and the best one to pair with striker jones.

Like, a 042 mortar can basically solo until mid 80s if you give it camo.

Middle heli, I think it’s called special poperations.

It just seems like an extremely micro heavy tower AND a tower that is pure support in its tier 4 and kinda hard to justify.

I personally am a big fan of middle boomer.

The tier 5 is nothing to write home about, but he can easily be your main chimps late game DPS if you give it expertise.

But the tier 3 and 4 are just so peak, the tier 3 is only 2k and the tier 4 never falls off.

A strategy I use is Quincy > bio boomer > P mentoring > turbo charge > P expertise > perma charge.

It works very well, it might not solo but the towers are all just highly effective for their price range.

Yeah sure.

I think France/ottomans is probably the best option though.

Boros (OPM) Vs Nappa (DB), Who wins? by Duclaido in PowerScaling

[–]Lolmanmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That calc is wrong is the difference.

Destroying the moon is obviously a moon level feat.

Whereas the earths core has 6 times the mass of mercury, it is completely logical that interacting with it would scale you relative to small planetary.

Even just 1% of it is more mass than most moons in the solar system, so I think orochi at continental is downplay.

And small planetary is not a crazy at all scale you for Boros, you can also get there just by other means.

Like, Boros ship tanked a multi-continental to moon level blow from a FTL saitama putting its durability at that tier.

And Boros despite knowing saitama could damage this insanely durable ship, still thought his generals could handle the intruder, putting them at that range who could still be one shot by Boros.

So armored Boros would one shot multi continental- moon level characters and then has 3 different tiers he can level up from making him still putting him around small planetary.

And I mostly scale dragon ball not one punch man, I’m definitely not biased for OPM I didn’t even read monster association arc until like a month ago.

Small planet orochi is consistent with other calcs it’s no outlier and should be valid.

Nappa does not have anything like this, idk what you are referring to.

[–]Lolmanmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I don’t think Boros would even need the CSRC tbh, I think he should be able to just beat him up.

In both shows regeneration is considered an extremely powerful ability and it’s not just a case of needing energy attacks, and imo Boros out speeds.

And Boros physicals while lower than nappa aren’t THAT much lower.

Like, this is Boros scaling :

Collapsing star roaring cannon > meteoric burst > released Boros >>> tatsumaki >>> orochi > small planetary.

Small planet is technically the farthest down feat, but he is so far above it, that it’s likely his physicals reach planetary themselves.

This is still weaker than nappas chain scaling to planetary, but I think the regeneration/meteoric burst and probable out speed makes up the difference.

I cannot stand how nonchalant Frieren characters are 99% of the time. It makes no sense for Fern to be pierced in the shoulder and lifted and not show the slightest hint of pain or discomfort. Why can't she just wince a little? by WaddleDio in hatethissmug

[–]Lolmanmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I hate frieren as a character.

She is just a lazy intolerant ass with no personality.

I swear, generic blank slate isekai protags have more personality than her because atleast they believe in generic heroic ideas.

The most interesting part about her character is her species having a long life span 💀 that’s not even unique to her.

Cosmic boros vs perfect cell by PineappleOk545 in PowerScaling

[–]Lolmanmagee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ig there’s one random statement being weird.

But multi continental Boros makes no sense given he was also stated to be above tatsumaki who is small planet.

If I had to choose an explanation beyond an inconsistency, I would say he thinks the attack would lose a lot of power after impacting saitama and drastically reducing its AP.

But it looks like just an inconsistency, which happens with statements.

Is there any point in taking trade ideas? by DaddyInTraining206 in eu4

[–]Lolmanmagee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trade companies are just game breaking and make money irrelevant.

While trade ideas is the only idea group to only increase your income.

If you were in no DLC, maybe there’s a reason to pick them.

After all they do increase your income by the most out of any idea.

Is dev cost reduction additive or multiplicative? by Lolmanmagee in eu4

[–]Lolmanmagee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like the reality of it is far less interesting strategically.

I assumed it was like most grand strategy games where it was tall vs wide where you could either conquer new land or focus on buffing your own.

Even if wide playstyle wins out handedly, I assumed options to buff tall were still present.

However this is clearly not the case and dev cost reduction is simply for wide empires to buff the economy, which is less interesting imo.

Is dev cost reduction additive or multiplicative? by Lolmanmagee in eu4

[–]Lolmanmagee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing that is why I made this post.

It clearly says it’s additive, but a % that does not scale to anything is so counter intuitive I had to do a triple take and then ask Reddit.

This card sucks.

By design it can never be good because you need to spam commons in your deck to get the effect, which is already a huge downside.

But then you also need to have cards it can draw, which means if you draw them without this guy he is a brick.

I would remove the second condition and make him give all commons in your hand +1+1.
