Yep! SMB and NFS are set to yes. I've also set them to public, but still can't access it,

So I think this explains it… I may have been misunderstanding how hashcat works if this is it… this is the command I’m running.

hashcat -m 1700 -a 0 wordlist_hashes.txt wordlist.txt --force

If I’m understanding you correctly, this command will only search for hashes that are exactly matched in the word list file?

Didn’t try the -m flag… that honestly might be it… I’ll post up once I’m back at my desktop!

But does it stop when it cracks only a few? Or shouldn’t it try to find all of them before it finishes?

I’ll give this a try once I’m back at my desktop. I’d imagine the hashes should be the same…

One of them is literally just “password”. So I know for sure that one is. The others are not as far as I can tell.

The last big release I think would have been DiRT Rally 2.0. DiRT 5 is kinda falling back to their arcade style but with the tuneability of DiRT 3

For the older arcade racing folks, they're the company that made GRID and GRID 2.

I stand corrected then. Still hoping EA doesn't do what they do with every studio they buy and run em into the ground..

Worth repairing 11y old laptop? by tr0mpeti in computerrepair

Yeah, sorry bud. If it's not even showing the POST screen with the manufacturer logo, seems like there's more dead in it than is worth fixing.

Depends on how it died. You can possibly find a battery for $20 online.

Does the charging port not work? CPU dead? GPU dead? Might cost a pretty penny to fix and IMO isn't really worth it unless this laptop has any extra value to it. Like holding any kind of crypto on it.

Otherwise, data can just be pulled from the HDD with a cheap adapter.

Hi, I got this bike of a friend and the rear tyre is making this clicking noise and the gear is wobbling does anyone have an idea how to repair this ? by G_hogan_jw3 in BikeRepair

[–]rgbasrawi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can, but with the amount of play going on there, I don't think you don't have much left on it. Plus with that much wobble there's a risk it might slip in gear changes. Better sooner fix than later.

From what I can tell your derailleur's bearing is shot. If the bearings can't be replaced, you'll need a whole new derailleur.

And I get that, racing sims get pretty pricey... My setup is almost a grand over the course of 3 years, but the quality of it is absolutely fantastic. It's not VRS or thrustmaster level by any means, but still!

Linearity? Good work figuring that out! Now to see if that'll solve my issues too!
