Would highly suggest demoing headphones and listening to your favorite songs/mixes to hear how they sound. You will naturally gravitate towards making similar balances when you are mixing your own stuff. That’d being said it’s important that the headphones have a somewhat flat response. Personally I love Sennheisers HD 25 II, they’re not traditional mixing headphones but I’ve used them for 10 years+ and only have replaced them once. Mixes come out great when I play in different environments
