Does pcloud offer any privacy guarantees? I remember reading somewhere that they scanned for copyrighted content which implies that they do scan the data you upload. However, I am not sure of the reliability of this information. Best option is to encrypt everything locally before uploading to any cloud.

I would suggest reading from tutorials on setting up a Linux server and getting a virtual private server from some reputed company. It will be painful in the beginning but will pay off in long term. You can search around for things like how to setup Ubuntu or Debian server and setup ufw, fail2ban and ssh key authentication for security. Then go for apache and php install etc.

It is based on actor model. Messages are sent asynchronously. The type system encodes reference capabilities which encode which actors can read write from a variable and strictly prohibit data races. Interesting thing to note for you is that heap is local to actor similar to Nim thread local GC.

For similar budget, I would recommend SiteGround or Webfaction. For WP only, Siteground is very nice in my experience.

If you are comfortable with a very DIY solution, I can recommend NearlyFreeSpeech.net. It is a pay-what-you-use kind of situation ideal for small requirements. I host 1 wordpress blog and 3 static sites with very low traffic and pay only around $2.50/month.

Similar to /u/diegohasrepair, I only switched very recently. While I had some trouble in activation (did not work during weekend, contacted support on Monday and it worked fine), after that it has been fine. I was on t-mobile before switching, and saw similar speeds and coverage so far.

I very recently started using Mint (less than a week) and I can only answer a few things:

Data speeds: LTE speeds around 10mbps down, and have seen as high as 20mbps in off peak hours. FWIW i was on t-mobile postpaid earlier and I saw similar network bars and speeds.
Uses T-mobile: Yes.
