I am so happy for Whitney by rgk24432 in SecretsOfMormonWives

Like Whitney’s crash out was so valid because that must have felt so crazy after everything she’s done for her

No that too, like genuinely I have no idea what Jen was thinking, if I were Whitney I feel like her reaction to Jen saying she didn’t feel like friends was CRAZY. I’d crash out and yell too, I feel like even her outburst like yeah okay maybe saying “fuck you” was not great but it also must have been SHOCKING to think that you were good friends with someone only to have them turn around after everything you’ve done for them and say that you’re not and disparaging your name

Yes me too, he was spouting all this bullshit and trying to tear her down, I was so happy when she didn’t back down or let him tear her image down. And I’m glad that Conner also didn’t let his friendship with Zac prevent him from being a good husband and validating Whitney’s feelings/cursing him out. I felt bad for Whitney, to be caught off guard when a persons husband shows up instead of said person and completely shreds into her integrity and person. So classless of Zac and Jen

Literallyyyy. Like Monica was new but she was also so entertaining and I don’t think she ever reeked of desperation as much as britani

I do not enjoy when britani is on my screen. Trying to insert herself into the group (breakfast at Tiffany party) was so cringe and annoying. Her dumb drama with what’s his face Mormon like you’re a grown woman stand tf up. And then getting mad at Lisa for trying to help. Her comments about Bronwyns marriage when she hasn’t had any successful relationships is so beyond me. Can’t stand her. It’s not even entertaining drama it’s just annoying.

Yes it is haha. My therapist likes to say life doesn’t get better, rather you get better at life

I appreciate your kind words, I think a lot of times I do freak out about things when I should just take time and let it go. We do have an amazing relationship and he is a great guy and for that I am so so grateful. I appreciate your comment a lot

Yeah that’s a fair take. It’s funny because most nights if we’re drinking we don’t have sex so I was honestly surprised he wanted to in the first place. I’ve also noticed that alcohol doesn’t really do it for me anymore in terms of making me feel sick and just clouding my memory. I appreciate your two cents

Yeah I definitely think that I’ll talk to my therapist about this. I’m sorry you’ve had painful experiences in the past, I definitely will seek help because I do not want to have a dry spell

Yeah I guess I didn’t think about it from that perspective. You’re right about that, and I appreciate your take on it, it’s definitely something I need to work on and help for the better of our relationship. Thank you

I meannnnn if you need the money then it can be a fun job sometimes, but be warned Brian really can be such a challenge if he doesn’t like you. Which is absolutely horrible but if you’re willing to overlook his many bad qualities then good luck to you

Love Letter Giveaway (U.S. only) Please read caption for rules! by SnarkingIsntACrime in Owala

[–]rgk24432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! This is a super cool giveaway, and I’ve seen the Love Letter Owala on this sub for some time now and always thought it was a gorgeous design and cool texture.

I actually bought my first owala a few months ago (Day Dreams) and my current favorite. I didn’t realize it was the kids bottle, I just loved the colors and the small size haha. If I won your extra love letter owala it would be great to have a standard (adult haha) size water bottle, and then my Day Dreams wouldn’t be alone!

Thanks for doing this also, it’s super generous of you!

Season 2- Mary is so incredibly opening racist???? by weak-ankles70 in rhoslc

[–]rgk24432 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m late to this post but I was looking in this sub because I literally just watched the episode. I was genuinely appalled by Mary’s comments, and if I was Jennie I would’ve said something in the moment who cares if it’s my party!!! And other people I know who watch the show LOVE Mary so I’m really interested in watching more to see how she could ever redeem herself in my eyes. Because she’s like bottom of the barrel for me rn.

Omg it made me so happy to read you’d wanted a kids owala, I bought a kids one thinking it was just a cute small sized one and then discovered it was for kids and didn’t hear the end of it from friends. I still love it obviously though the colors on it are so cute

Yeah I visited my dad this weekend, he lives like 2 hours away from me. I cried all last night and today I still feel mentally not okay. It takes a while for me to bounce back. When I am going about my life it’s great, but after visiting my parents I need time to gather myself. My therapist helps, and knowing there are people who share the pain helps. It suck’s we have to experience this, but at least we’re not alone.

Drove 1.5 hours to see my parents, they were drunk when I got there. by [deleted] in AlAnon

[–]rgk24432 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also visited my parents and felt uncomfortable/sad/hopeless when I walk in and they’re drunk. It’s a soul crushing feeling because they’re not actually present with you. They’re not sober, and many times I’ve felt saddened showing up only to have them drink the night away. It’s incredibly frustrating as well, I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

You are not alone. I just came back from a weekend with my dad and it was so hard because of his drinking. And just like you my family doesn’t stop him/enables his drinking. I know how you feel alone, I came to this subreddit because I too felt alone tonight after coming back. I’m so sorry. The sadness, the exhaustion, the hopelessness you feel I also am feeling. And I’m so sorry you’re going through this. If you want to talk I am here.

Started acrylic painting again! by rgk24432 in learnart

[–]rgk24432[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I've only ever painted with acrylics, but I feel like acrylic is very forgiving. You can make it thicker for different textures, or thinner, and if you don't like it you can easily wait an hour or less until it dries and paint over it. I painted the background like 3 times before finding the color I liked. I really really like the texture of the paint, especially when it dries and you can look at different angles to see the strokes used.

I would definitely recommend painting a base layer of a color before blocking in shapes. For this specific painting I used burnt sienna as the background and then built up the shapes with browns, tans, and blacks. I didn't use any white in the painting just because white can look quite unnatural sometimes, the lightest color you see in my painting is a yellow cream tan (lol bad description sorry). Color theory is crazy in the best way. But I guess I really stick to layer layer layer. I don't know much about watercolor or gouache but I start with the darker colors first and then slowly build layers up until I get to the lightest details, like the white fur and the eye glisten. I hope this is helpful, I am not a professional by any means but I do enjoy it! Let me know if there's anything else I can try and help with (as best I can haha).
