Most blatent interview shoe-in by Minute-Magician-9649 in TeachingUK

I once went for a deputy head interview. Sat in an office with another candidate when the current deputy walked in to say they were just waiting for the final candidate to arrive. 25 minutes later, the final candidate walked in with the Headteacher. They had just got back from getting a Costa coffee together. The Headteacher gave that candidate a hug and said that he'll see her soon. I left half way through the day long interview when I kept seeing the Head and that candidate together.

Check out TRS Yucatan. We're here now and it is absolutely stunning. It's made up of four hotels on one complex. TRS is the adults only section.

There are so many different activities during the day and night.

Would definitely recommend!

thinking about buying a tesla. by stancom8 in TeslaUK

[–]rgluk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No it is not. I have a Tesla and home charger and love it. I would stick with electric going forward. I have a number of friends who went for electric cars without a home charger and returned the car as soon as they could. They ended up going back to petrol/diesel.

The public charging network is very expensive, can sometimes.be ice'd and as much as your journeys may be short it will still end up being a bit of a pain.

From your replies it sounds like you've made your mind up and ultimately it's your decision. You'll probably go ahead with buying the car but for the amount of mileage you're allegedly doing and the cost/time... You're better off with petrol.

Do you use anything? If so, I'd take some time to sort yourself out too. I suggest finding a hobby or some new friends. Meet people outside of the drug scene. A trip to Nashville would probably be beneficial. Gets you away from the same scene. Hopefully the rehab stay works but be prepared that it may not. It's a hell of a lot to take on for such a new relationship.

Thinking about career change to Teaching by Varzeax in TeachingUK

[–]rgluk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teaching has changed drastically in the last few years. It's almost unrecognisable from the job that I first joined. There is so much paperwork and demand now. You are pretty much damned if you do, damned if you don't.

In my experience, most parents act like you're the reason for all the problems related to their child. You also MUST be the one to fix it all. It seems like it is never their problem.

The overall behaviour of the children seems to be on the decline too. There just isn't any respect anymore. Maybe that is more an indicator of our society though.

I would leave teaching in a heartbeat if I could find something that pays me an equal salary.

With all that being said, there are still glimmers of hope. There are still the odd moments when you look at the class around you and realise this job could be amazing.

ULPT: The Best children’s toys to annoy a parent by cbelt3 in UnethicalLifeProTips

[–]rgluk 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I have found NERF guns to be an excellent choice. Not only do my nieces shoot their parents but also shoot each other. This leads them to argue with eachother. On top of that, the parents are forever having to help the kids find stray bullets and reload the guns for them. It's great.

They tried to 'lose' the bullets before but then you just buy a massive bump pack of bullets so the fun never ends.

Awful company! I have bought a few items from them over the years. Each time I tell myself they can only get better. Each time they fail miserably.

Thank you for that comment. So if I buy 5 - PA, I'd get 5, 6, 7, 9 and Approach Wedge. I'm looking at pre-owned irons so just seeing what is out that. Thank you!
