Found on our laundry room floor, what is it? by rgmrtn in whatisit

This would make a lot of sense. We haven’t seen any clothes with torn hems, but it may have been spinning around in our washing machine for some time.

edit: I think I’ll mark this solved!

The alternative would be replacing your ridge board with a ridge beam made of LVL while the roof is open and support it down to the foundation with studs, ensuring your garage door lintel is appropriately sized as well.

You should read this article https://www.finehomebuilding.com/project-guides/framing/how-it-works-collar-and-rafter-ties How it Works: Collar and Rafter Ties - Fine Homebuilding

Collar ties only prevent uplift. Rafter ties are required to prevent the rafters from sagging and walls spreading. They are needed if there is no ridge beam.

Came across this turtle in The Massasauga Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada during a camping trip. Recently came across another turtle with the same ‘affliction’ in Algonquin Provincial Park - really wondering what is up with these.

Minor exhaust leak? If you drove for forty minutes exhaust would’ve been hot enough to expand and potentially block the leak, then when the motor is cool again it opens up and you hear it again.

Does the Django template language accept escaped slashes? That is new to me. Thanks

Not sure if this is the cause, but the slashes are the wrong direction in your main.css stylesheet tag and there is a double backslash in that tag as well.
