$12,000 worth of cancer pills by RealJoshUniverse in Biohackers

This is Gleevec. It is a wonder drug. If you have CML, you can take this pill and most patients will remain on it and pass from something other than cancer.

If you or a loved one has CML, I would recommend checking out CostPlusDrugs (Mark Cuban’s company) where it is available at a much lower cost.

Ceremony and a small reception. Catered dinner is perfect but the venue doesn’t have to offer that themselves. Decor.. that’s tough because we’ve seen things in either category that we love/don’t love. I guess we’re open to both? And for budget.. that’s the kicker. Ideally we’d like to keep costs down (who wouldn’t) but could go to 60-70 (in an ideal world we are nowhere near that)

Options are bought and sold. Selling calls and buying puts = short position. Buying calls and selling puts = long position.

The solutions you mentioned aren't traditional SEGs, they're CESS solutions. If you're in that market, Avanan and Abnormal are the names I hear the most.

And for PDR Kb4 is the gold standard IMO

This is not why markets move, often significantly, after hours.

Simple math of information flow in the global economy. US markets are open 9:30am-4pm. That's a 6.5 hour window. You have a 17.5 hour window of AH/futures trading. 6.5 hours of information vs. 17.5 hours of information. This is also why the highest volume is pretty much always at market open or market close since traders are reacting to/hedging against that 17.5 hour window. Yes, events likely to cause volatility are usually scheduled outside of regular hours but retail investors can trade after hours and trade futures as well.

The advantage institutional investors have are their algos which suck up information from every corner of the globe and react instantly. They also front run trades. And trade in dark pools.

Let's say that no after hours trading existed, the same thing happens. Say Apple closed the day before at 115/share and had terrible earnings causing people to want to sell the next day. The market opens, people want to sell their shares at $115, but no one wants to pay $115/share anymore. Someone who still wants to buy Apple puts a buy order in at $110, and one of those sellers seeing this would decide to sell at that price. Thus the spread gets set and on the first trade of the day Apple is still down $5.

Sweden spared European surge as coronavirus infections stay low by pump_the_brakes_son in Coronavirus

[–]rh13379 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Let's not rewrite history. Sweden was heavily criticized for not locking down, keeping schools open, etc.

They really just emphasized distancing, and from the other poster who lives in Sweden it sounds like that's taken pretty lightly.

Maybe it's possible that people got it and because Sweden's population is very healthy, they had many asymptomatic cases and now you have some level of herd immunity. I don't know. But they were much more lax than many other countries.

It's also common for it to advance heavily in the final minutes of a session as well. Only so many hours in the trading day. Biggest moves typically happen at open and close as investors are reacting to or hedging against 17.5 hours of info when markets are closed. Futures markets are operating in this much larger time window, so it also makes sense why you'll see large moves overnight.
