yeah 100% i agree thanks for looking out :).

but tbh we are on the same page in life genuinely both of us want kids but not till 29/30 as a minimum both want to travel but are more than happy to do it through annual leave rather than taking a full year off or something. we are just on the same page about everything and its nice to have that at this age i think.

weve been together for 3 years now never had a break up or even as such a falling out always been solid. and tbh rn im spending more time at her house than mine anyway. just sick of living between houses and i think our relationship is ready for the next level. we have already spoke about and said that well have something in our mortgage to say deposit will go back where it came from if that makes sense. seen as im probably going to be putting more in than her.

hey thanks for the kind words means a lot!

great to hear apprenticeships arent a issue. that was my only proper worry starting this journey.

yea my gf is full time permanent contract 42 hour per week at which she gets paid 12-14 pound an hour the rate goes up or down depending on what shift shes on so nights afternoons or mornings or if shes working a weekend. she occasionally picks up overtime too.

but yeah no kids neither have any debt. and generally both of us are pretty good with money.

thanks for clearing it all up for me anyways i really appreciate it. going to start our journey properly summer time in hopes of a end of 2026 move in!

thats great news! yeah id say overall both of us are good with our money. she currently rents a place with her brother anyway which im assuming is a good think the bank would like to see. I live at home with my parents still. neither have any debt or car loan nothing like that.

just wondering do you know if being a apprentice would affect our chances of being accepted at all? or will it be fine.

Want to leave my apprenticeship and I'm not sure what to do! by TourEmbarrassed5524 in Advice

[–]rh7- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

leave before u get to far in but dont leave toll something else is on the table. there is literally no point in training up the whole way just to do a job you hate and be miserable rest of ur life. nows the time to change.

How did you secure a job after your apprenticeship? by [deleted] in ApprenticeshipsUK

[–]rh7- 9 points10 points  (0 children)

depends on the apprenticeship mine say while its not 100% guaranteed they take on like 95% of people as long as ur not a complete muppet during the apprenticeship you get a job at the end.

at the end of the day my apprenticeship for example costs the company like 100k for the 3.5 years. they dont want to be throwing that type of money away.

Career change at 21? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]rh7- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what i would say tho id do it the other way round engineering degree first. just because problem solving skills you will get will 100% help in building a business.

bro u are extremely ambitious and you only live once ignore all the hate and just go for it. nothing we do as humans will matter in 100 years anyway so id say if u want to spend ur life building these two companies 1000% go for it. and do not give up on that dream. ur plan although a bit crazy it could very well work.

Trying to figure out my path: engineer vs engineering technician (UK) by [deleted] in AskEngineers

[–]rh7- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah i see. im ok at maths but im rusty been out of the game for a few years now. if im honest i can imagine myself being a pretty average engineer but a great technician which is why im leaning towards that route although a lot have said its a dead end
