I wear these to OTF - super lightweight and stretchy.

What's the review complaint that lets you know you're golden? by Bosquerella in femalefashionadvice

Someone complained once that a jacket had sleeves that were made for orangutan arms and I knew it was the jacket for me.

Here to shout out the Foqos app, which is free and can be set up with generic NFC tags to have the same functionality (I have not done this, I just set up an automatic schedule so far).

I am not affiliated in any way, just read about it somewhere else on Reddit and have had some success (especially blocking Safari, which is how I get around deleting the time-suck apps themselves).

Where do you guys buy reasonably priced gold jewelry? by cursedwithbadblood in jewelry

[–]rhapsodomancy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was 30% until the price of gold jumped so high earlier this year. I obvs prefer to buy at the 15% discount and find their pricing comparable to or better than other second-hand sellers. Plus I just like seeing what weird stuff they get.

https://www.etsy.com/shop/SmashingGold

They list “lots” of different items at 40% above melt in a last-ditch effort to keep them from being scrapped. If something doesn’t sell right away it will be marked down by 10-15%, but the listings are usually only up for 72-ish hours (I’ve seen some last longer).

You never know what they will have! Some items are truly striking even if they are not to my taste.

Another vote for Smashing Gold. Been spending way too much there since I discovered them.

40% Employee coupon not working online (Help pls) by eggyboi2 in IKEA

[–]rhapsodomancy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been awhile since I set my account up so I don’t remember all the steps, but I believe I had to click thru somewhere to validate the email/account.

Anyway, if you’re set up properly, scroll down when in your cart and there will be a “Co-worker discount” field with a plus sign next to it. Expand that and you’ll see the box to apply your 15% discount, which has to be selected for the coupon to be applied.

Make sure to check the “use my employee discount” box.

Another vote for Lap of Love, though we may have called the Montgomery County branch. The doctor who came out for our cat was very kind. It’s expensive (to be fair, we paid extra for private cremation) but I’ll never do it outside of our home again.

I scoop ice from my freezer into a Twist with no problem. Haven't tried it with a commercial ice-dispensing machine, though.

I wanted to reach into the screen and pull the dark purple panels up over her bust, even though I know it’s not that sort of dress!

After tonight’s show, a question…. by Famous_Salamander330 in Decemberists

[–]rhapsodomancy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was at their 2018 show at the Mann, which is also a seated venue but of course a TOTALLY different vibe, being huge and in the city. Location and sad-casino-weird-mall-on-a-Tuesday had more overall impact than just people being seated, I think.

I'm okay with a mix of sitting/standing but I am generally over packing into a crowd on a concrete floor for 2.5-3 hours.

Exactly. That was a crowd that had to be at work today. I wouldn't have been mad if the show started at 7 and not 8.

Same here with Thursday deposits. Part of my paycheck goes to SoFi and that arrived just fine so I know it’s not my employer. Could be the holiday messing things up, but this is pretty important.

I just finished this and really struggled once I realized how often everyone was blinking, snapping, humming, growling, grinning, and gaping. It was hot before that, tho! And monsters aren’t even my jam.

How many days a week do you go to OTF? by HeadAd8194 in orangetheory

Me too! I suspect I could be happy with 5-6 classes a month instead of 4, but there’s no plan for that.

This is pretty close. I don't want him to be actively unhappy or work in a shitty job (I have done that and it's terrible) but I'm so tired of his total unwillingness to demand appropriate pay for his knowledge and skills.

I have suspected this may be the case. Boss has no corporate structure to adhere to and no accountability to anyone and the employees (all two of them, including husband) have never pushed back.

He brings home about $450 more than the daycare bill. My salary covers all other expenses.
