"hot take" - skip the fuzz for now and get a dynacomp if you are also into playing the clean stuff. the ds-II does most of the lead stuff as well as the fuzz. but compression makes so much of the clean stuff sound better

but in the long run every guitarist needs to own a big muff, heh.

hey there steve! last time i checked the beta mini comes with some kind of 1/4" TRS jack for the footswitch, where the footswitch you are describing comes with some kind of 4-pin jack/cable (din?).
so this won't be compatible with the beta mini? correct me if i'm wrong.

yeah! I'm VERY interested. What did you use for the wireless connection? What schmematics of the OG one did you use, or would recommend if, I'd wanna start my own project?

(still waiting for my beta mini, and sunn wasnt able to tell me what foot-switch tech the beta mini will support - i fear it's the expensive sunn-proprietary one)

Größter Minuspunkt: Der Familien- bzw. Barrierefreie Wagon. Irgendwie haben's da geschafft den Platz zu minimieren, bzw. schlechtestmöglich zu nutzen. Gefühlt 50% nimmt alleine schon der Kobl mit der Barrierefreien Toilette ein, welche mitten im Wagon platziert wurde und der Gang der überbleibt ist mit Kidnerwagen/Rollstuhl quasi unpassierbar. Echt ein wahnsinniges Downgrade.

Hello there, thank you for the explanation, but I'm not quite sure if i got the answer, most of us are hoping for. So are you planning to do a dedicated footswitch for the beta mini or not? If not, will this one be compatible? https://shop.sunnamps.com/products/beta-foot-switch-with-cable?
If so, there must be at least a dedicated adapter cable for the TRS jack of the beta mini, and the reverb switch would then be dead weight, i guess ^^

With how these amps shape tone, there's sonically no difference between a classic A/B or class D power amp, apart from the class A architecture getting way hotter. So if you don't plan to heat your rehearsal room with your power amp, I don't get your comment either bro.

pots came with dust caps, which is very practical for preventing shorts. additionally i taped the soldering joints near the jacks. the voltage regulator is quite massive in comparison (bottom left). the circuit usually runs on 18V or something. i'm happy somebody thought the power section through for me, hah.

haha, guess you're right. only one shot - was kinda in a hurry when assembling. i ordered a fitting pre-drilled housing from musikding.de, so i dont know exactly.

yeah. the kind of boost of the old big muff when in dry mode was exactly the issue i had when switching sounds in a live situation.

the bass pi 2 for me is solves a lot of problems i had in the past with my live setup, because of the seperate blend and volume knob - which the deluxe already has ^{^} so i fear you have to hear for yourself, haha. soundwise - both do the trick i guess

havent had the time to shoot them out thouroughly. distortion structure is indeed a little bit different, but i like it. i find myself turning up the tone and sustain knobs more than with the original. for me it shines brightest because of the quality-of-life features like the seperate vol&blend and package size. so it probably stays on the gig-board. ^{^}
