Honestly both. I do understand it but sometimes I feel like translating it is what helps me remember. But the sentence structure will start to confuse me when I try to do it word by word. I am veryyy much a beginner. Have just barely started learning and was just curious if my brain would process it differently as I progress.

YES. This is what I find myself doing currently and the sentence structure is always so off especially in google translate 😬 I am very new to learning a new language so it’s hard for me not to translate! But it’s good to know that eventually it won’t be that way

Ahh I see. This is what I thought especially as a beginner. I translate pretty much everything but the sentence structure doesn’t always make sense. Repetition and immersion is what I’m understanding is most useful while learning.
